If you're planning to take the CFA L1 exam in June 2011, how would you include it on your resume if recommended?

I think the official guideline is to put CFA Level 1 Candidate if you already registered and paid for the exam. However, I do not think it makes a difference putting it on your resume since it is not yet an achievement.

I just recently interviewed and my interview status went to "Interview Complete" yesterday afternoon. I was wondering how soon should I expect to hear by? Has anyone else recently interviewed and heard back?

What was your timeline (when did you submit, go under review, etc)?

I interviewed on Jan 14, status changed to 'Interview Complete' on Jan 18, and I don't yet have an answer. My interviewer told me to "expect an answer in a few days because they seem to be turning people around quickly this year." However, no one on this message board has gotten The Call in the past week (other than the people at the event over the weekend), so maybe they've slowed down the pace a bit.

I submitted 12/22. I went under review the week of 1/3 ( I don't know exactly when because I didn't get an email notification). I haven't heard any word since. Anyone else in the same boat? I am getting a little anxious.

I submitted on 12/25 and went under review on 1/4. A poster in this thread went under review on the same day and got an invite yesterday. If we don't get an invite this week, then it's a ding.

I've been reading this board for a while, but haven't posted... I got the call yesterday that I got in! Very excited!

Anyways, for those wondering about calls this week, it seems that they are active and have a pretty quick turnaround. I had my interview on the 10th, went complete the 18th, heard yesterday (24th).

Also, I have a question for any life science people... do you know much about the columbia healthcare program? how do people fare career-wise?

good luck to everyone :)

Ok, thats very pessimistic thinking. I got my interview invite 7 weeks after submission (just counted now). And several others got it 2 months later. It ain't over til its over.

Isn't it on a first come, first serve basis? So if someone who went under reivew on 1/4 gets an invite, then the others who went under review on that same day should be hearing back very shortly if they do get invited.

Not necessarily. The commencement of the reviews may be on a first-come, first-serve basis, but the time required to render a decision (interview/waitlist/ding) depends on the application. The caveat is that some applications take longer to review than others so applications submitted during the same time frame may not have decisions around the same time.

Ok. Got it. So I guess the strongest applicants get the invite sooner than others.

I was checking CBS website and it says: Interviews are not required for admission to Columbia Business School.
Have you heard about someone that was accepted without an interview?
I am kind of anxious about getting an interview invitation... and my status says under review for a long time.
So, i just want to check if there is still hope!

My theory based on absolutely nothing is that a pronouncement like that is of "cover your ass" variety. It's meant to protect CBS from criticism when/if they fast track the sons/daughters of kings and dictators of foreign countries into the program. I highly doubt us mere mortals would get in without an interview.

I totally agree and was going to respond with something similar. That text is simply a "C.Y.A" statement.
