https://www.businessweek.com/bschools/ra ... umbia.htmlThat's the BusinessWeek profile for Columbia GSB. In general, you should hit up the BW profiles for every school to which you apply because they have a lot of info that can help you get a better sense of the student body before you visit and to give you some decent stats. This is the old version but the version for the 2010 admits probably won't come out until after you've submitted your ED app for 2011.
On the first page, it's reported that 11% of apps in 2009 were re-apps and, of those, 20% were admitted. In total, 15% of apps were offered admission. To pull those into raw numbers:
6,885 apps x ~11% re-apps = ~757 re-applicants
~757 re-apps x 20% accept rate for re-apps = ~ 151 accepted re-applicants
6,885 apps x ~15% total admit rate = ~1033 students offered admission in 2009
~151 re-apps offered admission/~1033 total offers = re-applicants were approx 15% of last year's incoming class (assuming that re-applicants accepted their admission offers at the same rate as first time applicants, something that might not actually be true)
Based on the above, you could say that Columbia is relatively more receptive to re-applicants than many other schools.
