Essay Questions are different for Jan 2022:

Essays

Applicants must complete one short answer question and three essay questions.

Short Answer Question:

What is your immediate post-MBA professional goal? (50 characters maximum)

Examples of possible responses:
“Work in business development for a media company.”
“Join a strategy consulting firm.”
“Launch a data-management start-up.”

Essay 1:

Through your resume and recommendations, we have a clear sense of your professional path to date. What are your career goals over the next 3-5 years and what, in your imagination, would be your long-term dream job? (500 words)

Essay 2:

Why do you feel Columbia Business School is a good fit for you? (250 words)

Essay 3:

Tell us about your favorite book, movie or song and why it resonates with you. (250 Words)

Optional Essay:

Is there any further information that you wish to provide the Admissions Committee? If so, use this space to provide an explanation of any areas of concern in your academic record or your personal history. This does not need to be a formal essay. You may submit bullet points. (Maximum 500 Words)

Submitted my application 15 days ago, best of luck for everybody. Has anyone heard back from them? I believe they are still closing the fall term class

No, but I heard this year's decisions will be a bit delayed, since that they're still closing the Fall term

I was told by an alumni that asked admissions - so I believe it will take slightly longer than the avg. 4 weeks.

Thanks! Are you saying that on average we should expect 4 weeks with the delay or 4 without in normal conditions?

No news as well. I wonder if they will take closer to 6 weeks or even over 6 weeks this year.

I received an email today stating that the application for the class of 2023 is now open. Did anyone else get a similar email? My guess is that they will start looking at the applications now.
