acermal1 I didn’t take the GRE. I took the Executive Assessment.

kiranpatil Please see below for my work experience/profile. In terms of the process, I applied in November (11/14). I received an interview invite 4 days later (11/18) and took my interview on 11/20. I was admitted in December (12/3). I had them accelerate my process since I was accepted into other PT programs. I think in general, it would take most people about 4-5 weeks for the process from start to finish.
Interview was a pretty standard MBA admissions interview with a Booth Alum. Expect regular behavioral interview questions mixed in with the typical why MBA/Booth questions. One thing I would emphasize is that Booth really cares about their pay it forward mentality and want people who they think are likely to help out current booth students as alumni. Any way you can demonstrate that would really help. They also really care about seeing progression in your career and want to understand how an MBA will aid in that. Had several questions around this during my interview. In addition, they want to see that you are actually going to be involved on campus. I was asked about how I would get involved with the student body during my interview.

Here is my profile for reference:
- 157 EA Score (14 Integrative Reasoning, 12 Verbal and Quant)
-3.3 undergrad GPA in Business Finance from a top Private School (WashU, Rice, Vanderbilt, Emory)

Experience (in order of oldest to newest):
-1 Year of experience at a well regarded Strategy Consulting Boutique focused on M&A and Private Equity Deals
-1.5 years at a T2 strategy consulting firm (Oliver Wyman, Strategy&-PwC, EY-Parthenon) focused on M&A and Private Equity Deals
-1.5 years at a F200 company in the Corporate Development Team (internal M&A team); closed $4.5B of deals in my time here

Extracurricular:
I held several leadership positions during my undergrad days. 2 of the leadership positions were in orgs that were the largest in my university so I think those stood out.
Since graduating, I’ve also been involved in mentoring programs for High School students.
Booth specifically mentioned my extracurricular involvement and my mentorship program work as a major positive factor that aided me in admission.

Goal: Continue to build my career and move up the ladder in corporate development/M&A. I am considering moving into investment banking. Don’t plan to do consulting since I already did that and don’t really want to go back into it.

That's a great profile you got. And congratulations for the admission and best luck for future career.

I did my Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 followed by 11 years of experience in engines R&D and large agricultural manufacturing. What would you recommend me to pursue the MBA. I want to get it done in 1 year only.

With 11 years of experience in engines R&D and large agricultural manufacturing, pursuing an MBA can be a pivotal step to accelerate your career, whether you're looking to transition into a more strategic role, explore leadership opportunities in other industries, or broaden your expertise. A one-year MBA, such as those offered by INSEAD, IMD, or Oxford and other schools as well, can be a good fit for someone with your background, offering an intensive and focused curriculum that can quickly equip you with the leadership, management, and business acumen needed to elevate your career. You can also take a look at industries like consulting, operations, and product management. The MBA will allow you to transition from a highly tech. role to a more strategic, managerial position, helping you leverage your extensive experience in a broader business context. Understanding your long-term goals will help you target the right programs. By focusing on "how an MBA will help bridge the gap between your current skillset and your future goals, why mba? why now?" you can effectively demonstrate your readiness for this next step in your career. You can take a look at this BLOG. and success story.

If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a 1:1 call with you to learn more about your profile and provide a detailed evaluation and gauge your chances to the best-fit schools. Please feel free to schedule a profile evaluation call according to your convenience.

Hi, everyone. I interviewed last week 2/21, and am waiting for an update. Does anybody know what percentage of applicants who are interviewed are admitted? I found the interview to be very conversational

I would say that the interview is usually not the deciding factor - usually they will interview folks after a quick glance and use it as a support evidence (at least for the FT programs that have a structured application process). Also for PT and EMBA it is a slightly different approach to admissions (not same as EMBA) but still, more professional and less academic, so this is to be expected.
