Wow guys, I just had the most unexpectedly "easy" interview ever. No "ethical dilemmas," no "what other schools are you applying to," no "how are you unique" or anything like that!

Just "walk me through your resume," "why Columbia?," "describe a time when you led a team," and "do you have any questions for me?" The interview did last 40 minutes, so we had a nice, lengthy conversation. But I'm really not sure how well or poorly I did. Ugh.

And now comes the worst part - waiting and obsessively checking my e-mail.

Congrats on completing your interview. I guess the "easy" interview was both a blessing and a curse huh? (since you said you don't know how well you did) But if you talked for 40 minutes about 4 questions, I'm sure it went pretty well. I think whether the interviewer likes you or not is more important than what you say anyway (as long as you don't curse him out). Also, don't forget to send a "thank you" email soon. I hope your feedback gets submitted quickly!

Thanks, Tien. I'm going to send her a thank you note as soon as I get home. Now I have to think of something pithy to write about in that note.

Having trouble scheduling an interview with local alumni. It has been a week since the day I received the invite. Should I call admission officer ask if I can schedule an on campus interview? Or still too early to do that :cry: I'm anxious.

Happybunny, have you contacted next three people? The instruction notes that you should wait for a week after emailing the first three people.

While we're all venting, I guess I'll join in hehe. I am kinda sad that I submitted on August 10th (3 days before the review period started) and still don't have a decision. That's 9 weeks of waiting- I guess submitting early doesn't help that much. :?

Oh well, in the meantime I'm trying to be a good and patient lil boy :wink:

I'm with you on that, Tien. My recommender still hasn't submitted feedback or even responded to my "thank you e-mail" and I'm starting to get edgy. It's going to suck if I don't have a decision this month. I totally see how one might reach a point where they just want some closure. I'm sure another few days and I'm going to reach that point.

I wouldn't expect a response from ANY interview "thank you note" whether its a job interview or an MBA interview.

Actually when I sent a thank you note, he responded with a 1 line summary of what he was going to write in his interview report. Too bad he hasn't submitted it yet :(
