Since you submitted on the 7th, I am going to assume my application is now under review and I will find out within 12 weeks.. i guess.

good stuff. I wonder how Columbia instructs their interviewers re: submitting feedback, do they just say send it in ASAP or do they specifically instruct the interviewer to take some time to reflect before submitting. I say so because I've yet to hear of someone here having their interviewer submit feedback the day of/day after the interview.

Interesting thought. I am not sure if there is some sort of formal instruction not to submit feedback immediately after the interview. If you take a look at the 2008 RD spreadsheet, a bunch of applicants went complete on the day of their interview or the day after (interviewers must have submitted immediately).

I think a bunch of us will get our decisions this week

hmm. actually, my application just went complete.
4:45pm eastern time right now, and my interview was at 11am this morning. i dont know what other people's interviewers were like, but my interviewer seemed to be taking detailed notes during the interview.

Anyone know if Columbia informs you of scholarships/fellowships immediately upon acceptance, or is there some lag? Thanks!

Hey all,
I had my interview w/ an alum earlier today. The alum was super nice, offered great insight into bschool and post-bschool life.

Quick recap of questions:
- walk me through your resume
- why CBS
- why MBA
- why now
- what are you looking for from an MBA program?
- what are your goals?

He didn't ask anything about ethical dilemmas, ECs or strengths/weaknesses.

Hope this helps! good luck y'all :)

congrats jj! I assume you get an email when your interviewer submits his feedback? If that's the case, it's been 6 days since my interview and still nothing. Considering I got my interview invite back on the 7th and had to delay my interview by 2 weeks since I was on travel, I can totally see Columbia thinking 'does this guy really want to go here or what?', despite it in fact being the first school I decided to apply to. Would I be crazy if I sent an email to the Adcom explaining exactly that?

Yes I received an email notifying me that me interviewer had submitted his feedback. Id also like to note that my interviewer was top notch, and seemed to be the type to have very solid contacts with CBS to this day (quoted what several deans had told him during various lunches during the past few months). So that probably contributed to him knowing the importance of submitting it quickly.

I hear its fairly normal to spend a while scheduling an alum interviewer. I even read it in the Clear Admit guide. I wouldn't go the e-mail route, unless it was to add some new information to my file, and emphasize the fact that CBS was my #1.

I haven't seen any. In fact, I haven't seen any news for anyone that applied after the new year. We may still have a few more weeks.

i hope all of you do!

one thing that I have noticed at CBS, is that so many of the students are genuinely good people. its been truly a pleasure to get to know many of them, and to witness the enthusiasm with which they embrace their school. I know grad school is mainly a thing you do for your professional life, but this is the first school that really made me understand the whole "fit" argument.. I felt right at home :)

Congrats jj! Are you going to pick Columbia over Wharton?

My app is approaching the 2 week mark in a few days. I can't help but think that if I don't hear this week, it's probably a ding/WL. :(

What time did your status check e-mail come when you finally got the admit? I am trying to figure out if it's generally a morning thing, afternoon thing, or completely random.
