Say someone got a new job since they submitted their application. Would it be appropriate to bring an updated resume to their interview at the school?

That someone's name kavet83?

I wouldn't spring a new resume on them. I would just mention the new job as it relates to the questions you're asked. Afterall, if you just started the new job it won't mean much. I think it can go either way.

If, the interviewer has never seen your resume before and seems to be absorbing it right in front of you before the interview begins, you might be able to throw it in front of her.

Yes, December 3rd. I'm actually still looking for a new job. But hopefully by then I will have one. And I recently redid my resume and I like it a lot more, so I'd rather my interviewer at least had my new resume instead of the one i submitted with my application.

Thank you kidderek! I was almost thinking I wasn't going to hear from them and then I did. Don't worry, there's still time for you. You submitted your application a few days after me, so maybe it's taking them a little longer to get to yours. That invite could be on it's way any day now!

I'm at Cornell now and I have a few friends at the Johnson School. I just asked one of them - apparently he was wrong :-D

Subtract that % from 100 and I'm in that group.

If I get dinged with no interview invites, I'm going to dig a large hole and crawl in, never to be heard from again.

I heard someone got an email from the financial aid office with just general info for financial aid.

Yes I got that email. Somehow it slipped into my junk mail, so I'm glad I caught it. It was just general info though.

I heard about this as well.. I can't believe they are sending financial aid emails to candidates who do not have an admit. It's really cruel and unprofessional.

I can't complain since I didn't get one. But yes, some of these 'additional' emails are quite unnecessary.

I loved that email.

Especially because Randal Sawyer sent it himself. I read that and thought, holy &%&$&$, the Director emailed me personally and wants me to check out some blogs.
