where did u get that 15 number from?

From the admissions director.

On a seperate note .. Architect, congratulations! And thanks for your earlier advise on the campus visit. Went to Ithaca yesterday and since I was the only one attending the info session on Dec 16th, I got 101 time with a student host. Also got to meet a bunch of people I'd been in touch with during the applications process. In spite of it being the R1 notification deadline, Randall was nice enough to take the time to talk. Ended up having an impromptu conversation with him for 20 mins .. he's a fantastic guy. Emotionally invested in the admissions process, and a really nice person overall. Visiting the campus makes such a difference too, I have a much better feel for the school now. Fingers crossed, I hope my application makes the cut.

Just a general comment. For some reason my answering machine had been blocking the calls from the Johnson admissions office. (I think I had it set to block restricted numbers or something). I got an email today commenting to that effect. :P

So I guess the moral is.... don't set your phone/answering machine to block restricted calls! This would've saved me some fretting...

Hi xpiano1978,

Congrats. I too got admitted in the Cornell AMBA. where are you located?

My profile.

28/M/760 GMAT/Masters in Tech Design-NUS/ Currently 4 years exp in Global MNC/ Project Lead engineer

Can someone advise the importance of the interview?

From everything I researched, it seems Johnson emphasizes the interview a lot more than the other top schools. Is there data for what percentage of applicants they interview?

Thanks (Will be interviewing at Johnson early January)

The interview is extremely important at Johnson. They typically invite a little less than half of the applicant pool to interview, and then they accept about half of those interviewed candidates. Good luck on your interview!

jzd,
The adcoms say that the interview process is an important aspect of your application.I have read at some places that the interview counts for 20% of your whole application but I am not sure how true that is.
At the interview they want to evulate your communication skills and try to learn more about your background and why you want to go to Cornell.Try to be enthusiastic and sound passionate at the interview.
There are a lot of Johnson specific interview questions at:

Hi all,
A first year at Johnson here... I found the following site very useful for my (on-campus) interview when I was going through the process: https://www.clearadmit.com/wiki/index.ph ... lInterview

GOOD LUCK!

Anyone get their Park Finalist pack in their email? Are you guys all going to stay with a current Park fellow or stay at a hotel? I'm leaning towards hotel (the Statler).

Is 15 a high number or not? Should R2 applicants without interview yet be worried or not? :?:
If somebody's application went under review on Nov. 30th but didn't hear back, does it mean he or she could lose all hope?

I think it is too early since till now the adcom were busy with R1 results and now the holidays are approaching. Have patience is all can suggest. By the way I am another R2 applicant and mine is still submitted not even under review.

Congrats on all the admits
Best of luck with the w/l and dinged

BTW, if you are on the w/l, you need to keep at it and show persistence/passion for the school. That should get you in as some people from last year has shown.

Does anyone know when they typically admit people from the waitlist? Would it be most strategic to send an update a week or two before the round 2 notification date?

What is the dress code for cornell "meet and greet" events?

Is this a business casual event or suit and tie? Do people come to these events dressed in suit and tie?

Thanks
