Good luck my friend, i remember Randall sawyer mentioning at a MBA fair that last year Cornell only took 3-4 people from R4.

My profile 760 GMAT 3.3 years in Financial services,Indian ,male.Really really waiting for an invite if the school finds me suitable. Are there any other indians on the same boat as I am whose apps went under review around 22nd Dec yet no invite please share your profiles if possible.Best of luck to all who got the invite from this superb b school. :roll: waiting for something positive praying praying and praying

My status in the application is the same as yours, still under review. It seems the AC sends mails to individuals and make interview arrangements.

hey there have been a lot of candidates on the forum whose applications went under review on 12/22. The IV calls havent been going out in any order and people have confirmed that calls can come till the last day of results of R2. So we have a month to hear from Cornell.

btw my app went under review on 12/22 too havent heard anything yet.
690 IT India have been in US for 3.5 years now.

it's not easy to get around but you don't need a car. try staying @best western and their hotel shuttle will drop you off anywhere in the university or city centre and pick you up as well...pretty prompt service ~usually within 10 mins of your call.

I'm here in Beijing and just got my interview invitation this morning. Would really appreciate any tips from folks who have already interviewed on what kind of questions they've encountered. I'm guessing from the looks of it, that the interview will be done over the phone for people overseas. Anybody experience something similar?

Christine is really friendly and "bubbly" as Michael Corbett described her. When I met her for my interview, I concurred with his assessment. I'm not sure if she'll take the lead interview role or the 2nd year. (Cornell has 2nd years that they "Train", and since I interviewed so early, the 2nd year hadn't been fully trained yet, so Christine took the lead role.) Not that it's really relevant, but she should be about 6-7 months along now, so she should be in an even better mood (or if you're unlucky, a worse mood). (just mentioning it so you're not surprised).

Expect the standard why MBA/Johnson/now questions, "walk me through your resume", along with a couple of behavioral related questions (tell us about a time when you overcame conflict, what would you do if someone were being uncooperative, accomplishment you were most proud of, mistake you made, etc.). If you prep using clearadmit, etc. you should be in pretty good shape. I don't think there were any real "gotcha's" questions. I think it's most important that any answer you give to a question have good rationale behind it, and you know your story.

Congratulations to those receiving interview invites for round 2, so we round 3 people had to wait a lot I guess.
