Any ideas when the Jan 12 applicants will start to see some action? When do you think our apps will go under review?
Cheers.
I submitted my application on Jan 12 (R3) and I received an interview invite today.
I have a question... Should I send adcom an update letter before/after/during my interview? or not at all? I have some pretty significant updates from the last few weeks and I want to make sure it gets added to my file.
Thanks guys!

congratulations- no invite for me yet. would you mind sharing your profile?
Any Round 3's get indication that their application is under review, I assume if you have an interview you must have been updated to under review. Anybody else under review from round three?
Has anyone received a status update for Round 3? Any change from 'Submitted?'

To all R3 applicants out there, JGSM sends out invitations for an interview approximately about a month after the application deadline.
This was true of last year (based on the last year's forum) and this year (round 1 and round 2). For Round 2, people had to wait around 6-7 weeks mainly because of the Holidays.
So I wouldn't even look for an invitation until after a month.

Hi, had my admission interview yesterday via phone.
Lasted 35 minutes, relaxed, questions:
1. walk me through resume 2. career goals 3. do you have a plan b? 4. why cornell? 5. tell me about a time when you demonstrated leadership 6. anything else you would like to add? 7. any question for me?
do you think 35 minutes is too short? I wonder... the admission officer said it was wonderful talking to me though I must be a nice person, haha

30 minutes seems to be the standard for phone interviews and 45 minutes for on campus interviews at Ithaca. So I wouldn't sweat the 35 min time.
Isnt this 2 late to receive your interview call? Were you on waitlist without interview in R1?
I still hope that I get an interview call ( R2 applicant)

Don't lose hope yet. I talked to a student applicant reviewer in "meet and greet" and she said people get invited to an interview even until the very last day (2/15 for you). I think they only do phone interviews for those who are invited later.
what do you guys think...can we expect admit calls to go out starting the 11th and into the 12th? usually adcom starts calling 48 hrs ahead of the notification date and this time its a long weekend before the 16th....
I'm on page five of the admit/dings results where you can see a brief profile (US Applicant, 730 GMAT, 5 yrs Engineering). I'm currently weighing admits at Yale and Darden, while I await a decision from Tuck next week. Cornell isn't in the running anymore so I figured I should free up a spot for someone else on the wait list.
[Edited to add] - I'm pretty sure I got waitlisted for not showing enough enthusiasm for attending Cornell, and it was probably a smart move on their part. Good luck with getting admitted!

Congratulations and good luck to you. Both Yale and Darden are fine schools. If people get multiple admits, do they usually celebrate for each admit? I know it is up to each and every individual, but I am curious as to what people do.
Thanks... I celebrated both admits with a Guinness draught and a happy dance. The first one is by far the most exciting, but as long as you would prefer the next admit over the previous one - I would say that's reason to celebrate. Anyone else care to comment on how they celebrate?
