Just out of curiosity, where/who did you hear that from ? And was there any mention of when interview invites would go out ?

I'm just overly excited. Am I correct in assuming that President's Day won't matter too much in the admissions office?

President's day is 2/15, which is the reason why they probably delayed the announcement until 2/16.

Yeah, I just meant in case they do calls the day before decision day.

Thanks for the update !

I thought that the Feb. 16th date was when Cornell would start sending out interview invites to R3 applicants; guess I was wrong ! :) Does anyone know when R3 invites are supposed to start going out ?

I got it as well, it has an unsubscribe at the bottom, its just an automatic email from the school, I don't think it has any bearing on anything.

I am a R2 applicant and I must say this waiting until the 2/16 really is excruciating...

In fact, this is the worst part of the application. I thought waiting for an interview invite was bad, but this is far worse.

To prepare myself psychologically, I am going to lower my interest level of the Johnson School. I am going to purposely dislike Johnson School as much as possible so if I get dinged, I will not fall out of the sky. But if I get accepted, the high wouldn't be as awesome, but I will take that.

So I am lowering my interest level..lower...lower.....lower.......lower *telling myself I hate Ithaca, Sage, and everything else*

Hang in there! (I did the same thing). Realistically though, come up with a good backup plan. Once I did that, I felt WAAAAAAY better... Make sure you can live with this backup plan though!

Ugh, I know. On one hand I'm glad I applied to my top choice last, because I know my application was strongest. On the other hand, waiting this whole extra month to decide where life will take me for the next two years is TERRIBLE! And I have failed completely at downplaying my interest at Cornell. I can't keep from continuously researching and nitpicking for details about the school, all of which fuel my excitement. I wish I could talk myself into thumbing my nose at the school if necessary.

This week is going to go by soooooo slowly.

Luckily, as a former theatre student, I have plenty of experience with how to take rejection...
