I'm in! I got a call yesterday accepted and paid my deposit last night. I am so pumped right now!
I am a Canadian citizen. I read online that Canadians don't need F1 visas. Does anyone know if that is true?
Thanks
Pretty much true. We don't require a visa to enter the US, but while studying in the US we have F-1 status. So you don't have to apply in advance, you just show up at the border with the I-20 forms Cornell fills out for you, the supporting financial documentation, a passport, and proof of payment of the SEVIS fee. Then US immigration fills out an I-94 for you, and you're done. We are subject to the same restrictions as all F-1 visa holders.
Congrats to the recent admits, see you in August!!! Moiuday, I have my fingers crossed for you, good luck!!
