I'm in! I got a call yesterday accepted and paid my deposit last night. I am so pumped right now!

I am a Canadian citizen. I read online that Canadians don't need F1 visas. Does anyone know if that is true?

Thanks

Pretty much true. We don't require a visa to enter the US, but while studying in the US we have F-1 status. So you don't have to apply in advance, you just show up at the border with the I-20 forms Cornell fills out for you, the supporting financial documentation, a passport, and proof of payment of the SEVIS fee. Then US immigration fills out an I-94 for you, and you're done. We are subject to the same restrictions as all F-1 visa holders.

Congrats to the recent admits, see you in August!!! Moiuday, I have my fingers crossed for you, good luck!!

I've just withdrawn my seat on Johnson's 2013 class. Hopefully my seat will go to one of you gmatclub waitlisted guys. Good luck!

Hey guys, am from India. Waitlisted R1. Nothing much has changed till yesterday. Wanna know how long the school does go before making all decisions clear. It is tough for international applicants who face a time crunch coz of visas etc. Would be awesome if someone can provide any info on the same. Is there any time frame which intl applicants can use to know if things are happening or not?

I'm sorry I cant help with the time frames (I don't know them myself) but you can certainly do one thing - get all your documents in order. That way, should you get accepted, you wont spend valuable time collecting all the financial support documents etc.

Apart from that, hang in there guys... I'm sure that good news is around the corner!
