Drop them qn email. It's possible that the school is closed due to severe weather.

Posted from my mobile device

Cornell prides itself on hardly ever closing because of weather!

Just received an email with the subject "Financial Planning Information from Johnson Admissions"

"Thank you for submitting an application for the Johnson MBA program!

Most students make significant adjustments to their lifestyles to accommodate for educational costs and decreased personal income during the MBA experience. We ask students to take responsibility for covering educational costs and we are pleased to present you with information on how to prepare. Some of this information is specific to Johnson, but most of the tips are useful regardless of where you choose to pursue your MBA. "

I would much rather have received it after I find out if I have been accepted. Anyone else got the same email?

I got it a few days back too! Not sure what I am going to do with this information at this stage though!

Does anyone know where I can find more specifics about the Park Leadership Program?

The literature on the website is somewhat vague about the course work. A few questions I have:
* How many classes does the program contain?
* Are the classes and the service projects on top of a regular class schedule, or do they take the place of other courses?
* Does the program have any obligations during the summer that may affect internship opportunities?
* If selected for a Park interview, how soon are the decisions sent out? Is it prior to or after the initial deposit deadline?

The program sounds like an amazing opportunity, but I want to make sure I understand it.

Appreciate any help.

i was actually chosen as a park fellow a few weeks ago at finalist weekend 1 so here is my feedback on it:

*about 30 sessions over the 2-year period

*on top of a regular class schedule

*no summer obligations per se, but you may want to work on your park project then or something

*everyone who is invited to a park finalist weekend is already accepted. you will likely be called significantly prior to the decision deadline, notifying you of your acceptance and asking you to plan to attend the finalist weekend.

PM me if you have any more questions

Sexonthebeach, how early were you notified? I presume you were a r1 applicant.

Have any r2 applicants heard regarding the program??

If you look back a page or two you'll see that a couple R3 applicants received invites.

hmm, submitted my application in late Dec. Now the status is still "submitted" and no interview invi yet. It's driving me a bit nervous considering many other school already offer me interviews. Anyone sharing the same experience?

Same exact feeling here as well. I have heard back from all of my schools BUT cornell. It's a little frustrating but I guess that's how the school operates. Somebody mentioned earlier in the thread that it's not unusual for them to send out the bulk of their invites in late feb or early march.

Given tht R3 deadline was like January 4th, it is still early in terms of R3 time frame - no need to panic yet.

I think for U.S. R2 applicants, this week would be THE week. It seems like admit calls start going out the week before the official decision date (2/15), and I would suspect that U.S. applicants, if admitted, should receive a call from the adcom. International applicants may not due to time difference, but at least e-mail, I guess.

I still put my money on Thursday.

Hey everyone, I just got back from a brief campus visit/ interview at Cornell. Just thought I'd share my experience. Hopefully it will be of some use to everyone else...

Questions asked in my interview:

1. Tell me about your work experience. How did you end up doing what you do? What led to that career choice?
2. (Asked follow up questions about my work experience.)
3. Tell me about a time when you had to make a difficult decision at work
4. Why MBA?
5. What measures are you taking to ensure that you are academically prepared for the rigorous coursework at Cornell?
6. What have you done to learn about your future career path in greater depth?
7. Is there anything else the ad com should know about you?
8. What questions do you have for me?

Summary: The Johnson School interview at Cornell was a little less laid back than some of the other schools I've interviewed at. I'm not sure if that was because I had an ad com member interviewing me, or if that is always the case. My interviewer was all about getting down to business. For those of you considering a campus visit I would HIGHLY recommend staying for a class visit. My travel plans changed due to weather, which forced me to cancel my class visit. My interviewer expressed her disappointment that I would be unable to sit in on a class, and I could detect a slight reprimand from her. Hopefully that didn't hurt my interview! Good luck to everyone applying!!
