They’ll attach the waiver with our email when we start our application. I think this is what they said

I have a question- are home based GRE tests considered at par with center tests, while applying to GSB?

They are but it’s always better to take the test at a center. I had a candidate whose test score was cancelled simply because there was a significant jump in his score from the first to the second attempt, and he was testing at home. He didn’t violate any testing rules. He had to re-take the test at a center after that. This is just one of many different examples, so I would really recommend that you take the test at a center.

Taking the test at home can be very stressful too. Too many scrutiny.

I found taking it at the centre of very calming experience. It was very quiet , peaceful, and the people at the centre were quite nice and accommodating.

I did worse taking it home even though I took it in the comfort of my home. All that that’s on your mind is something happening in your house that throws off the proctor.

I personally didn’t have any issues, I took my GMAT and GRE at home. 755 GMAT and 340 GRE. Not tryna flex, just putting this here to ease doubts about the score cancellation. Maybe you had a bad proctor?

Brother, appreciate your experience but read the room... no one here is talking about their test scores.

Bad proctor. Dipped on my for the final 20 minutes of the test and couldn’t even ask what to do next

I wouldn’t trust taking it at home if you have the option to do it in person

His home score test was cancelled, so there was no proctor. I'm not saying home tests are a bad idea; schools do accept both home and test center scores. However, based on years of working with many applicants and seeing various issues arise with home testing, we recommend taking the test at a center if possible. As deadlines approach, this can help avoid unnecessary delays and reduce stress :)
