Hi deep1010,

While the home based test is accepted, we would recommend that you take the test at the centre; many applicants we have worked with have had their home test scores cancelled and that has led to a lot of last minute anxiety.

Thanks.
deep1010
I have a question- are home based GRE tests considered at par with center tests, while applying to GSB?

If I have given GMAT
Is it necessary to give IELTS also?

My 10+2+4 education was in the English medium.

Most programs consider a waiver if you provide proof of medium of Instruction being English. However, some programs don’t. Since this is school-specific, it is ideal to check for waiver conditions for each of your planned schools individually. Even if one requires IELTS, you will need to take the test

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to be part of this group! We all share the same goal, so let’s support each other throughout the journey.

Please feel free to ask any questions. I’ll do my best to answer or point you in the right direction.

A little about me: I’m planning to apply to Johnson in Round 1, with the goal of transitioning from Data Analytics into Investment Banking. I’ve had some great conversations with current students, and I highly recommend reaching out, they offer some of the most valuable insights into the culture and program.

To kick things off:
Where are you in your MBA journey?

Let’s get the conversation going!

Swetha, hope your gmat goes well. For my prep I found Gmat Club Forum quiz to be useful for timed practice and TTP gives a really nice quant foundation. Have you tried either of those? Also, Focus Tests on gmatclub were good practice. Their quant can be tough but helpful.

Thank you so much, i will definitely look into those! Just curious, you’ve have taken gmat or gre? And if it’s okay, could you please share your score with sectional details?
Sure! I took the GMAT Focus and scored a 645, which is equivalent to a 700 on the old scale. For reference, Johnson’s median score is 655 (roughly 710 legacy), according to their most recent class profile:
https://www.johnson.cornell.edu/for-rec ... -profiles/

While my score isn’t the highest, 655 seems to be a solid benchmark for Johnson though of course, the higher the better. That said, GMAT is just one piece of the application. The admissions committee often emphasizes their holistic approach when evaluating candidates.

hey , are these forum quizzes free or do we need to pay for them ?
There is a 7-day free trial that you can use. After that I think it is $30/month

TTP sucks
Haha fair enough. I know TTP isn’t for everyone. Personally, I found the structured approach helpful for rebuilding my quant foundation, but totally get that different resources work better for different people.
What worked best for you? Always curious to hear what others found useful.
