I'm from NYC, and I'm just going to take the Amtrak to Charlotteville. It's a 7 hour ride, but is cheaper, more comfortable, and the amtrak stop is a couple miles from the campus.

Ah, nice, didnt even think about the train. Good tip, I'll make sure to share it with her ! Thanks !!

Any R2 applicants from India heard from Darden yet?

Anyone else freaking out waiting for results? I am setting new standards of un-productivity at work while obsessing about interview invites ...

Hi MediocreButArrogant (??!!)
I am from India, and going completely nuts waiting for the interview invite. One person from Pagalguy forums has got an invite...that is pretty much what I know.

AB, the majority of interview invites have gone out for Round 2. However, a few are going out today and invitations could continue to go out up until the decision release date. In Round 1, we did make interview invitations all the way through the round."

Any idea if they will do the same thing this year?

Thanks mbaapp... Not decided yet, but I have admits at Duke and Tuck and those seem like a better fit. Darden is a great school, so I dont want to possibly take a spot from someone else who would for sure like to go to the program.

Plus, im burned out on spending money on bschool stuff and would rather not pay to fly from California to Virginia at the moment. ;)

Ginetta - did you receive your interview invite via email or via FedEx? What is Darden's typical invite contact method?

Congrats to all those guys 'n' gals getting R2 interview invites !

@mechIFR: Darden will typically let the applicant know about an interview invite via email.

International Applicant Here -

Received an Invitation to Interview today at 12:50 EST. The email says

"Because you reside outside of the United States, we have arranged for you to be interviewed in your country. An alumni interviewer will contact you within the next 10 business days to schedule your interview at a convenient location."

This is great - but I think I will try to have my interview on campus to check out the school and meet current students.

Good luck to everyone else patiently waiting!

That's interesting - I live in Argentina and wasn't given that option! I planned to go back anyways, but kind of funny.

Sounds like they have just begun the round 2 invites as per the admissions video here:
