summitbid ,
I think you can definitely include volunteering efforts for how you will contribute, I think it closely relates to what I wrote about.
I focused on efforts to build a school in a Sunni-Shia mixed population central in south Baghdad where you need to work through lots of problems etc.
I think the case method / learning teams will heavily depend on people working together to overcome challenges to solve problems holistically - that is why they want engineers, finance professionals, military veterans, IT, consultants, and non-profit for their class, so we leave no side out of our thought process.
For example, if you volunteered to start a fundraiser or let's say volunteer to tutor a group of high school kids with problems you will be brining alot of skills to the table ---
Maybe for the volunteer effort you worked with lots of people from different backgrounds, you sacrificed personal time, worked with a limited budget, and showed determination to realize a vision
Maybe for tutoring you had to shape your approach to kids based on their individual learning needs, past experiences, or problems they had with confidence or other issues
In each case you demonstrate the qualities to be a good person and citizen who seeks to give back, solve problems creatively, and challenge yourself.
Does this make sense? I didn't get in anywhere yet but this is the logic I'm hoping will work.
Good luck buddy
