That is accurate. Your best chances of admission are in the early round.

There are a few reasons for this, this is when the fewest and the lowest number of applicant supplying, some of the early rounds are binding but I don’t think that’s the case with Darran finally the deposit for the early round is a lot bigger, usually.

If Darden is your top choice, or even the target school and basically anything but safety, it makes a lot of sense to apply in the early round. Historically early rounds have had best chances.

My advice is to constantly keep refreshing the calendar regularly in case some times open up. If that happens, email the admissions coordinator (since you can’t book past the deadline yourself) to let them know there’s an available spot

­Hi, I am applying for R1, and they are saying we should report all the GMAT scores we have received. Now, my latest scores (in FE) are not that great and I was hoping to just apply with an older better score (710 classic vs 615 FE). Now, if I were to not report the latest scores (for which I have to spend extra money also to send), would Darden know that I have another score in my portal?

Hello there,

I believe if the school specifically asks that ALL scores be reported, then you really have no choice here. Please report them all.

However, you can explain in your optional essay the reason why your score in the FE was lower than the initial one ( if any reason) just to give clarity.

I got a mail today with subject "Invitation to interview with Darden" and on the interview scheduling page it was written "all interviews are now on an invitation only basis.". So i guess these are invitation based interviews. Btw I applied in EA round.

Stupid question but how badly do you guys think it would affect my chances if I wore a polo to the interview?

Came from work for it and just kept on the same outfit (polo). Reading more for upcoming interviews seems like obvious answer was to wear a suit.

How much would something small like that actually affect chances?
