Waitlisted... heartbroken but could be worse.

Anyone know how their waitlist works? Says rolling and that notifications could be as late as next July... but will they review along with round 2 applications now?

I haven't received a call or an email or a status change. No communication watsoever.
Were they supposed to finish handing out the decisions within 12pm est or will they be continuing throughout today?

Darden has the highest waitlist conversion rate about 16% as far as I know. They will send you a mail about the procedure. Have hope.

FROM Darden Admissions Blog: Class of 2018 Round 1 Decisions Released
All Round 1 decisions were released today, Wednesday, 16 December at noon (ET). An e-mail was sent out indicating a change in your application status. You canlog into the application system to view your decision.

Darden gives applicants who are not offered admission the opportunity to receive feedback on their application at the end of the admissions cycle. If you plan to reapply to Darden next year and would like feedback on your application, you will be able to sign up for a feedback appointment in June.

We will have additional information for those placed on the waitlist later this week.

Did the scholarship email say that directly or did you have to log in? Mine said "nominated for a scholarship with the Darden foundation" but nothing specific. Did yours include fafsa stuff?

My waitlist letter said to send a response and more instructions would be coming my way about contacting an admissions committee member. I think that is when they tell you how you can strengthen your application to potentially get in. I spoke with a current Darden student this fall and she said that she was waitlisted and told that she had to get to over a 700 on the GMAT to get accepted. So she studied took the test, then called them to let them know she broke 700. She got her acceptance letter the next day.

I don't think that is the same for everyone, but that could be the case for some.

Hey everyone - I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly the 'additional information' section at the end of the application is to be used for? From other schools, I have essays around significant personal achievements, long-term goals, etc. Is this suited for this area or is this more for an explanation for reapplicants or folks with an unusual background?
