Did we ever get a consensus on whether or not adcom follows up with admitted students via telephone? I know we will probably all know before that point, but was just curious. I recall someone saying that some students try to get together to accomplish this.

Also, for anyone applying to Tuck. Which do you think is worse? Waiting on this darn email or waiting on a phone call over a three day period? Ugh!

Did we ever get a consensus on whether or not adcom follows up with admitted students via telephone? I know we will probably all know before that point, but was just curious. I recall someone saying that some students try to get together to accomplish this.

Also, for anyone applying to Tuck. Which do you think is worse? Waiting on this darn email or waiting on a phone call over a three day period? Ugh!

You'll be contacted by a Fuqua Buddy to help you with any qs you might have... but that would be in a few weeks from now...

In my case, I just got an email telling me to check the app status online...

That just doesn't seem very personal to me- is it really that much of a hassle to call students and personally welcome them? I think Tuck has it right with that strategy.

I've heard both sides of this argument.

Ross calls admits in the days leading up to the final decision posting and everyone over there is up in arms that they don't have a set way to let everyone know at the same time. They don't want to be put through a few days of torture staring at their phone.

But the flip side is as you mentioned, a standard 'check your status' e-mail doesn't seem very personal and some don't like that.

It seems like the AdCom can never win!
