Hiii, I recvd an email from Admissions about my app status and i see that they received all the required materials and recommendations but i still see the status as "Submitted"!!! is that normal, i mean its been 3 days that i received the mail?

All the best to the R1 Applicants.

There are two statuses on the application landing page. The Submission Status will say "Submitted" but your Application Status just below that should read "Completed on DATE".

Hi - I am visiting Duke next week since I'm going to be in the area for an interview at UNC, and wanted to check out the campus, etc. I applied round 2 and I know interview invites don't go out for a while, but do you think there's anything I can do while I'm there to get some visibility with the admissions office, or even chat with students, etc? Let me know if anyone has had a similar experience. Would hate to be down there and not take advantage of an opportunity. . .Thanks!

Duke started its prospective student visits this week (option of class, tour/lunch & students in the admissions lounge pretty much all day), have you checked the website to see if you can sign up? It runs every week through the end of February. It does not run on Wednesdays when we don't have class though. I really would not worry about getting time with anybody from admissions (most people will never have talked to someone from admissions prior to being admitted), just sign up and they'll know that you were there.

Thanks so much! I am visiting campus Monday. I have a question for those of you who visited and did not have an interview. What did you wear? I feel like a suit would be too formal, but every day clothes too casual. I am thinking dress pants and a conservative shirt? Let me know - I may be acting nitpicky but I want to make a good impression. Thanks!

Since Duke recommends business casual for their interviews, I think you will be fine visiting in business casual as well.

Less than 24h for R1 folks...I'd hope the see at least 30 clubber admits....

In the past, I think decisions were released around 11 a.m. -ish, but who knows. I think we'll be notified by email.

Hi guys,
All the best for your results.
Just saw the new FT 2011 GLOBAL MBA RANKINGS. Few surprising things I noticed were - IIM Ahmedabad -debut at no. 11, NUS makes a comeback @23, SP Jain Dubai/Singapore makes it to top 100.....
Duke is at 20 (same as last year).

In our case, results were updated on the online application portal almost an hour ahead of the email. It was around 1130 pm India time (around 10 am EST)

FWIW, in the past, decisions have been released around 11 a.m. EST.

That doesn't mean we'll receive decisions in the next thirty minutes, but I think we're to the point where decisions could come at any time.
