50% is pretty typical. If you look at Kellogg, which is also known for its marketing program, the placement is similar.

You are absolutely right on Kellogg's marketing placements. That (at least) helps to believe that the general demand from a specific function and school's location play big role.

does duke release admit early?

Yes, typically 3-4 days early. The admissions guy said they will try to release them early again this year.

Did anyone else have trouble compressing scan sizes to less than 500kB for the online application? Fuqua application recommends using Adobe Pro for optimizing sizes of pdf's, but that software is not free.
Is there any other software or method that I can use? Currently my scanned transcripts stand at 900MB (after splitting into 2 parts), and the degree copy stands ar about 700MB.
Thanks for the help

By the way, please count me in for R1.

Can you rescan it with fewer DPI (dots per inch)? That's what I did. Try choosing a lower resolution, or choose Black & White instead of Color.

Also check out Primo PDF (trial), if you do a 'save as' it might shrink it a bit further. If there's a trial version of Acrobat professional, that's your best option, it has an optimize PDF function.

Ah yes, count me in for RD 1.

I'm in for Round 2... except for one small think. They say that they require a C minimum in each calculus course taken in college. I actually took 2 calculus courses and scored a D in both of them. Do I still apply?

Nope, you'll need a C to meet the requirement.

Could someone help me on Number of Direct Reports question? As a project lead, can I include the people who report to me on project assignments as direct reports or is it only people with formal designation as managers have direct reports?

Thanks

I would call the school and ask if they would offer conditional acceptance if you took a class in the spring. Can you take a UCLA extension and note that it is in progress in an optional essay?

I am no expert but in my opinion, you can mention those numbers as long as they were reporting to you in some way or other.

Please, add me in R1 list.

Regarding Letter of Recommendation

1.Do I need to provide the office email of recommenders?

2.Will the recommendors get an online link to fill up the recommendation letter or do they have to scan and attach a print out of a typed LOR with a company seal on it?

Thanks.
