Phew... Just received my first ding from Chicago. A bit dazed but time to move on and focus on my goals.
I'm a round 1 applicant and I did a self-initiated interview waaaay back in October 16th.
As far as the interview is concerned, my interview was very conversational and laid back. The interview lasted for about an hour but since the interviewer and I both went to Pac-10 schools, we talked about college football for about 20~30 minutes (we went to two of the California rivalry schools).
In the beginning, she mentioned that the interview is more or less a pass or fail system --- either you fit with the school or you do not fit with the school. So make sure to research Fuqua in depth and I think it really helps for you to visit the school to get a better sense of what it has to offer to you as well as what you can offer.
She went through the usual questions of your short-term and long-term career goals as well as the teamwork experience. I am probably belaboring the point but make sure you can clearly articulate why Fuqua. The answer for you will be different for everybody so do a research in advance.
After the interview, we chatted for about an hour before she had to leave and I had to go to a Q and A session with the current students.
For the people who are applying during the 2nd round, sign up for an interview as soon as you can if it's not already too late. I think it's a minor point but still a point that demonstrates to the adcom that you are serious about attending Fuqua.
Good luck everybody.
