I live in Korea. Last Friday, I'm admitted in EA round. :-D

But, till now, I have not received admission packet in mail. :shock:
Is there any admitted guy(especially in Asia) who received admission packet?

you are admitted...feel free to bug the school about your packet...call them ten times a day if you want...you are in!!!

Good initiative, as a FYI, Duke will have an official incoming class facebook group starting after R1 admission date. There'll be a lot of activity on that one regarding BDW and housing/roommate search. Also, it takes a couple of weeks before you'll receive your admission packet.

Since I'm international, they sent my a Fedex tracking number... Its status is "On FedEx vehicle for delivery", so it should arrive today... I guess you guys should receive yours very soon.

Digging a little here but I am curious how the academics really are at Duke? Any current students wish to comment?

I am looking at the interactive class schedule and it seems a lot more limited then what I would have thought based off the front page which boasts 100+ electives. For instance looking at both Spring terms combined I only see 4 different marketing classes offered. Is the idea that these classes cover so much material it is not necessary to have lots of choices? Just trying to understand.

Having just registered, I can tell you that there are more classes that I want to take than I'll probably have time for. I think there are a couple of things that you need to consider:
1) If you are going into marketing, you will not just be taking marketing classes. For example, even for marketing, there are other accounting and finance electives that you probably should take. This is on top of classes like negotiations and many of the management courses that are must takes as well.
2) The great majority of what you learn will be learned on the job, the classes are just to give you the fundamentals so that you can talk the same language, so to speak.

I know a couple of EAs got sick coz of this ...so hang in there :)

I had the impression that the last day for receiving interview invite for R1 is 17th Dec. So applicants should have started receiving the interview invites by now.
So what I understand now from the above post is that Duke will send all the interview invites to all the applicants on 17th Dec only. Is that correct?

Yes you are right. Expect an invite on 17th (my interview invite came on 25th Oct as expected). The interview status was changed in the online app portal a few hours before I got an email.

Hi there! I received my application packet this past Thursday. The letter inside the folder said that if I was awarded a merit scholarship, then there would be a separate letter in the folder telling me so. That being said, there was no other letter in the folder except the letter that said they would later be running a background check on me at my expense for $93 (and that everyone is getting such a check).

I got a phone call on Tuesday from an adcom letting me know that I received a scholarship. There was no letter in my admissions packet, but I received a follow up mailing yesterday providing details.
