EA decisions came out 2 business days before the deadline, the week before thanksgiving. Not that that has any bearing what so ever on R1, especially if applications are up as much as has been discussed, but its worth noting.

Really think they'd pop open the notifications one business day early -- before the MLK weekend?

We might know by Friday. I'm starting to get nervous now.

My heart just skipped a beat!
Is this something from the adcom or anything official?

Nothing official or even rumored. I'm just speculating that they might do the same thing they did for EA decisions and release them early. Either way, we'll know within about a week.

Well, if apps were up in ED as said elsewhere as well and they were still able to release decisions earlier, we might as well expect that for R1 decisions. Also, interview invitations were sent out 1 business day in advance, so there's hope! :)

Does anyone know how decisions are released? Does adcom call you in advance if you are admitted?

For EA, I got an e-mail to check your status. A few days later, my interviewer called to congratulate me.

If you know a Duke alumni, you can apply for free. All you need is the alumni's name and the year they graduate in. When I reached out to alumni to learn more about the MBA program, they told me about this waiver and were more than happy to provide their information for me. This is very generous of Duke, and I hope some of you can take advantage of it. So go ahead, find some alumni and speak with them. You can learn loads about their experiences and save a few dollars in the process!

I looked it up, it has to be a Fuqua alumni or current student's recommendation or referral. In that case my duke buddy wouldn't be able to save the $200. :)

Anyone know if all decisions go out tomorrow via email or just acceptances? This is really nerve wrecking.

I'm not certain it's going to happen, thats why I'm asking. If you check posts before me, thats what people are saying.

I think it's more likely we'll hear from them on Monday, but should they inform us tomorrow, let's hope they send out all the letters together and not only to accepted ppl! You are right, the wait is nerve-wrenching! :)

Good luck to all you R1 applicants. Do you guys have some idea when interviews will be announced to R2 people?
