Was down there Thurs am - Sat am, spending most of Thurs and Fri at Fuqua. I had a great time, and was really impressed at how friendly everyone was - current students as well as applicants. My interview was similar to all the rest described here. Primarily conversational but clearly hitting a number of questions from a list. I think it went very well, but I guess the only way to know for sure is to wait and see. My time down there really reinforced my interest in Duke, so I'm hoping for positive news once they release acceptances.

Had a great visit to Durham Fri-Sat. I really like how they pack interviews into a short window and load the admissions office with students to chat with prospectives. Left more excited about the program than before I arrived.

Had a very friendly, conversational interview w/ some tough questions. Similar to what I've read (going down a list, etc). Overall lasted about an hour.
- Walk me through your resume
- Why MBA? Why Duke?
- How would you contribute to Fuqua?
- Tell me about a failure you were a part of as a team
- Your role in a team and how you typically contribute
- Tell me about your biggest regret
- Strengths / weaknesses
- What do you like to do outside of work and community activities?
- Assume you have a 60 second pitch with the admissions director.
- Any questions for me?

Fingers crossed for the 20th...

Does Fuqua release scholarship information at the same time as the decision (i.e March 20)? Or does this come later? I will be stretched at that point, to pay my deposit at another school and it would be a lot easier to make decisions if they do decide to give some $$.

From earlier in the thread and earlier rounds, it sounds like if you get any $$ they call about 1-2 weeks after acceptance. I'd assume this will hold true for this round as well.

Fuqua's round two notification date (March 20th) is the same day as my 2nd choice's deposit due date. Thoughts as to whether admissions would be willing to provide me notification on the 19th instead of the 20th so I'm not throwing a few grand away if I end up getting in?

They will not. Fuqua really believes in the single status update to all applicants. Your best bet is to hold deposit payment until the end of the day on 3/20 hoping that the status update for Fuqua comes out around 4PM EDT.

Is this your opinion or do you know it to be true?

I know they will not call admitted applicants in advance of the notification date in general. In your specific circumstance I am speculating. You can call and ask, that way you can maintain anonymity as well.

This year many of the scholarship recipients received their scholarship offers the day after receiving the admit phone call. I was one of them. If you look at the boards, most recipients didn't even have a week in between when they got the call.

I didn't get that. Above there was a message that no one is calling to inform the applicants on their acceptance. The information would be posted online. So what admit call are you talking about?

Well the day after the admit, whether you received a call, or the online login that took you to your acceptance letter. I actually received a call from one of the students, but I think this is rare for Fuqua.

Each admit receives calls from their interviewer and Fuqua Buddy, welcoming them to the community. Admits with scholarship offers receive at least one more call from Fuqua, informing them of the financial aid package. These calls do not occur until after the decision release date though.

~ 50% of interviewed candidates is offered admission, and ~50% of those decide to attend.
So, the short answer is YES.

Some1 correct me if I am wrong on this.
