Not really sure what to think about that email, the last year the decision notification date was on a Monday, people heard on the Friday before, but there was no mention of a similar email on the message board for that year.

I still feel on the hook...

There was quite a bit of discussion on last year's message board about how Fuqua was trying to increase its yield. Perhaps this is yet another way for them to try to accomplish that.

If this is the case, then this should work in the EA applicants' favor. In order to maximize the yield, the acceptance rate in EA could be much higher than last year's.

What do you mean by saying "increase its yield"? Increase the percentage of people who enroll in Fuqua upon admitted?

yes. When they were taking people off the waitlist, they would first ask (over phone) if the applicant would matriculate if admitted. Everyone who reported that on the message board answered in the affirmative. Once Fuqua representative heard a "yes," he/she would go on to offer admission to the candidate. Not sure if Fuqua would've told them about the admission offer if a candidate had answered in the negative. So, I guess this was a tactic to get their yields up in order to help them with rankings.

That would be nice! :)

Hopefully receiving such an email is a positive sign :-D

I'm pretty sure it was a mass email, but I'm still curious... Did anybody (whether interviewed or not) not get the email?

Any sense of the amount of apps Fuqua received for EA this year? More or less than last year?

I'd like to think the economy improved since last year and decreased the amount of applicants across the board??

I have a feeling that more people applied in EA this year. A few days prior to the EA decision release date last year, the roll call had only around 30 EA applicants on the list. Now we have 42. I don't think that the actual total grew by 40% as the GMAT Club numbers would suggest. However, I still feel like it grew by maybe around 5-10%.

GMATClub also changed the reporting structures, so I think that might have captured more people. You can do a comparison across all schools to see if there's a big jump as well.

Either way, good luck on Monday!

Hi, does anybody know how to add an alumni peer recommendation in addition to two professional LOR? I checked the online application but had no luck. If nobody knows, I guess I'd write an email to adcom early next week. Thanks, guys.

On the Fuqua website, click on 'Alumni' and then 'Volunteer/Get Involved'. Scroll down to 'Supporting Admissions Activities' and then click on either 'referring prospective student' or 'recommending an applicant'. The alum/current student will have to fill in the blanks and submit the recommendation.

Any idea when to expect the results tomorrow? No time has been specified on the website. What was the time stamp for the interview invitations that were sent out. I interviewed in the open interview period so have had no communication from Fuqua since i submitted my app bar the notification that was sent out last Thursday. Good luck everyone for tomorrow.

Update: Looked at last years thread and the first report was posted at 12 noon.

Yep. Prior years, the release was morning. Last year was 12:00. You can either refresh your application status all day beginning at 8am, or wait for the email (the email came at 12:10 last year).

P.S., that was me last year who was the #1 to post @12pm (former username was jtinva)
