I have a small question regarding wl updates. How many WL updates are ideal to send for 1 round decision ? I see that 2-3 are ideal on website. But does these include things like even attending their sessions as an update or is it just a touchpoint ?

I would say quality matters more than quantity. Two (or even one) updates with tangible pointers e.g. increased GMAT/ GRE score, professional projects, ECA’s, interactions with students/ alum/ AdCom would be good. Basically, the goal is to show sustained interest in the school, and improvements in your profile since application submission. If something is relatively low impact, wait until you have more update(s) and consolidate it within a broader list. Hope that helps. Regards, Arvind

will just say for Duke, apart from the application, the networking and engagement over a sustained period goes a long way. quite a few successful applicants that I know in R2 were engaging with the school since Fall 2025. I myself did a lot of engagement leading up to R1 apps. just good to know prior to re-applying
