I have already applied. The application process is similar to other good b schools but there are six essay questions of different lengths for esmt. 
What was your GMAT score from previous attempt?

You can stay up to 18 months in Germany to find a job after graduating.
The post-mba opportunities are good for those who speak good German.

There is site by name "find-mba.com" where you can find more details about the German MBA programs.

Good luck to all of you, Guys! Hakikris , Thank you very much for coming forward and starting the thread for ESMT applicants. This will be our official discussion thread for all ESMT Jan 2017 applicants. I have updated the first post with data tables, admission stats, and deadlines. I request all applicants to add ESMT to their MBA timeline so that the stats displayed in first post will reflect true picture of GMATClub applicant pool. Here is a screenshot for those who don't know how to add school to MBA timeline. NOTE THAT Class should be 2018, not 2017, as our system counts program duration in years so an applicant starting in 2017 becomes class of 2018 student. For any help feel free to PM me. ESMT.png

There is little information in this forum about the interview experience, ESMT life, post MBA career statistics etc. It would be great if we can get someone(alumni/ current student) to throw some light about all that. Do you know any forum user who is a part of the ESMT community?

hello folks i was shortlisted for the interview and had my skype interview on 18th of july. After a week of high hopes, I got my reject mail today

. On an extremely polite note, I was told my profile doesn't match with what the school has to offer.

I'm an Indian IT male. I have more than 6 years of experience in banking and telecom domains with 2+ years of international experience.
I have a National level achievement besides school and university level awards in various events. However, I have a low GMAT score of 630 which I believe brought bad luck to me. 
If you are an Indian IT guy, don't apply with a low GMAT score. 
The holistic approach that every school talks about is probably a marketing gimmick. GMAT is important!

 As we have only a few seats left in the program, we are focusing these on constituencies where we are still significantly underrepresented so that we can guarantee the diversity of our class.We would be delighted though to guide you through the process of the January 2018 intake as an early-stage applicant. Early stage applicants have the added benefit of being able to take advantage of a one-month intensive German-language course. In previous years, ESMT has covered the cost of this course for early applicants and is likely to be able to offer the same incentive for this group applying for January 2018.

Well, this is not specific to ESMT but generally Bschool interviewers are given candidates's application and resume before the interview so their questions will be very much in line with what you have written in your application essays and resume. Make sure you are reviewing these docs thoroughly, and you know your story well. Second, you should be absolutely clear on your post MBA goals and how ESMT will help you in achieving them. You should also have solid justification for why this is the right time to pursue MBA. Last but not least, if you are a career switcher, and indicated so in the essays, then you are likely to face questions about your target industry; So be prepared for that.

I am planning to apply this year. My profile :

GMAT 710, 6 years of market research and consulting experience in FMCG and Chemicals domain. Guitar player and currently a guitar teacher. 2+ years of martial arts experience. Could someone please shed some opinions, if it still makes sense for me to apply at this stage?

I have received my admit for 2017 -Batch and have accepted the offer.

The interview experience was very great and chilled out. The admissions team are very friendly and cooperative.
They focus more on how well you fit in to the batch and against their requirements.

soochrmd I'm curious whether you attended the ESMT this year and how your first year is going? I'd love to hear your feedback. I was going to apply for the Jan 2017 intake after a very insightful visit to the university but I had a few emergencies that prohibited me from doing so.
