Hi I just had my interview at the Singapore campus ytd. Not sure how it will turn out but I would say that the whole experience was nice. The panel consists of 2 professeurs and they seem very friendly. One of them asked rather specific questions regarding my CV while the other ask obvious questions like why Essec etc. I guess it was usually about 30 minutes long but mine should be a little less than bc I felt it was so quick!
I think the best way to prepare is to know your CV inside out. For example, I was working in Fashion industry in 2 different roles so they ask why and how I changed, what motivates me, what I have learned during both jobs, tell us about your teamwork experience. For me they asked a lot about why I want to work in fashion because many students express their desire to pursue their career in this field so they want to make sure that the student doesnt want to do it just because the glamorous side of the industry.
Also the questions you will surely be asked that you could prepare beforehand are 1.Tell me about yourself 2. Why Essec? 3. Why business degree ? 4. What are your plans after graduate? 5. What could you bring to Essec, how would you contribute ? 6. Are you applying to other school? If you can't get in what's your backup plan? 7.Any question for them (I asked about the apprenticeship alternatives for non EU in Singapore and Jobs prospect for Asian students in Europe particularly in my field of interest)
Lastly, read their websites! I was asked whether I know the selection process of the LVMH chaire and how I will prepare for this competitive chaire. So if you mention somewhere in your application about any chaire or track, make sure you really know it well.
Hope you guys find it useful
