Hey Round 1ers

I know I've asked this but I'm still pretty in the dark about this. Do we get any updates at all from anyone (status updates, interview requests emails, etc) from CGSM? Or do we wait for the schools to contact us? Is there a way to track our application, as in, do we have access to school websites or any of their tracking information?

Essentially, I guess I'm asking the same question again.

What do we do now? Who talks to us now? CGSM or the Schools?

talk to the schools.. from what I remember, if you log into the cgsm application it should say "sent to schools" (or at least it did last year). once it says that...the consortium doesn't play a part.

it wouldn't hurt to contact the office and ask for a general time frame for contact.

It's just the schools. You should eventually receive some form of update from the schools. Some were standard with their traditional applicants and some were customized to the Consortium. But after everything is sent to the schools, it's out of the Consortium's hands.

Just received my phone call from Ross, I'm in! Now just have to wait on the other schools and the fellowship decisions.

Posted from my mobile device

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! :) Do you mind sharing a little bit of your profile?

Thanks!

660 GMAT/3.41 GPA/4 years WE/Large public University with 2 degrees in Marketing and Communications
Lots of internships/projects in Undergrad relating to my post-MBA industry
Currently work in Digital Marketing for a Top 20 Commercial Bank with ample leadership/management
Interested in transitioning into the Media and Entertainment industry
Lots of relevant volunteer experience to my goals

I had to have a really strong support in my projects, volunteering, and WE leadership to offset a weaker GMAT.

Thanks shadowsjc. For those still waiting for NYU, I just got an invite for an interview. There weren't too many options for dates but i'll be flying out next month for it. I kind of wish it was sooner.

Congrats!

Did you apply R1 or R2?

Hi everyone. First and foremost best of luck. I was wondering has anyone from round 2 heard anything yet? I applied on the 4th and haven't heard anything yet, kind of worried. Obviously my low GPA does not help and makes me very nervous! Also, is there a way to verify that everything from your application, specifically official transcripts, was received? I sent mine in on time, but the postal service here in Puerto Rico is notoriously bad. I saw some earlier threads that the status on the online application changes from 'submitted' to 'sent to schools.' Any validity to that? Thanks

I'd call the Consortium. They will log into thier system and verify that all is well. I applied R1 and did just that. I dont remember if the online system indicated the status, but maybe it did. But I called. Good luck.

Dli,

For what it is worth, the Consortium informed me that they had not received my interview transcript or masters transcript about ten days after I submitted - and both my interviewer and school had logged records of sending these items out. If you have not received a "we are missing" email by now, I am sure you are fine. They were quite good about contacting me and giving me time to re-send these items. As far as not hearing anything, 18 days would be a mighty quick turnaround.

Good luck on the applications.

Congratulations to you, I appreciate you sharing your story and best of luck going forward. I have a low GPA which I have worked toward overcoming, but not sure if I will get in.

dli - i wouldn't worry too much about your GPA. a low GPA is like a low GMAT - it's just one data point in your application; as long as other parts are strong, you still have a good chance of getting in somewhere. you have a strong GMAT score; as long as your essays conveyed passion for the consortium's mission, then i think you'll get in
