Any word from Tuck for anyone?
Seems like they're just gonna let us find out when the consortium mails and informs us whether we've received the fellowship or not?! I think they can do better...but opinions are a dime a dozen.

Okay Guys,
There is nothing else that we can’t do, but wait. If I am assuming correctly none of us can travel back in time, and improve what we have already submitted.
So let’s relax, have a glass of wine or two… or may a bottle!!! Or two, sit by the fire place and wait hope that some admin committee member made a great case as to why we should be part of their school.
Like most of you, I am freaking out, but we will give each other a heart attack, if we don’t relax. Yes the school failed to deliver our login (Yale), apparently we aren’t a priority to them, but we tried our best…
I don’t know about you Guys, but I spend numerous hours studying for the GMAT, and on the essays… however we cannot change our apps or improve our odds, it is too late in the game.
But Guys, there are options, Columbia has rolling apps, and there are a few schools for which third round is due in a few weeks. So, let’s focus and regroup our energy.
If we don’t get in as consortium members, we still have a chance as third prospective students at several top schools.

, but I wanna be with classmates who are. I turned down a medical school admit last year in lieu of an MBA and applied only to BW top-30 programs so I am invested in rubbing minds with some of the best especially when I have multiple options). I am yet to see ANYTHING resembling an aggressive talent recruiting strategy from USC. Case2010 – congrats on the acceptances, and good luck harvesting a few more. Two quick observations about your post……
1) I have never heard of a top MBA program subsidizing an admitted students weekend beyond a few free pens and school-logo notebooks. It is a sellers market, and they really don’t need to toss a $500 sop anyone’s way to get “talent” in the program. Don’t hold it against USC for not doing this (but do hold it against any school if they are indifferent to your candidacy in other ways)
2) The age-old ranking debate will continue long after we are gone, and I am not a huge fan of magazine published rankings as gospel. That being said, only one publication is accepted as being closest to the true order of things, and that is US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT. If you are basing your decision heavily on these published rankings, I would ditch the BUSINESS WEEK rankings entirely and stick with USNWR. Any publication that has Stanford GSB at #6 is probably a bit off.
My man, if USC does pony up and give you a free trip out there, let me know. A few undergrads did that for me when I was in high school, and it was a blast. Probably not as cool now, but a free trip is a free trip!
! All told however, I got into my 1st and 3rd choice schools (I knew my 2nd choice school was not going to happen after my interview: it was the worst int ever!). Yet to hear from my lowest ranked program. Honestly don't really care anyways.
