All I know is SOM and Texas are scheduled to let us know where we stand this Friday. Any idea when Michigan and USC are reporting back to CGSM candidates?

I haven't heard anything from USC at all since I applied, which has been a bit frustrating. I did hear from Emory recently and I was accepted.

Congrats on Emory!!!! :)

I haven't heard anything from USC either. Other than some pamphlet on diversity at the school.

Congrats on Emory...I'm sure you will hear back from SC. Here's an email I just received from ADM.

Dear JoeMahmah,

Since you applied through the Consortium, your notification will come in February.

Thank you for your interest in the USC Marshall MBA program.

Sincerely,

MBA Admissions

I got an email from an Adcom member at USC and she said that their Consortium candidates will hear back by Monday, March 1st. I'm assuming they have to give notice to The Consortium by the same Feb 26th deadline other schools do, but giving themselves an extra day to tell us the news.

I applied to:

Darden, Yale, Stern and Tuck. I never received my logging for Yale.

This is what i received from Darden:
The Consortium applications are coming in and will be processed and reviewed at Darden over the next few weeks. Thank you for including Darden in your ranked list of schools.

Your application has been included in Darden’s Round 2 and therefore you will learn your admission decision on or before March 26, 2010. If you receive an interview invitation, please do not be alarmed. We simply want an opportunity to engage with you directly and/or gather additional information. Please take this as a positive. If you do not receive an interview invitation, it means we have all the information we need to make an admissions decision. This will be the case in most instances.

But none of the other schools have had any communication... Wowzers!!!!

Same here. I called the admin office last week and it appears they had no idea when Consortium R1 admits will be released (other than that I should e-mail Kellee Scott). For goodness sake, this is ROUND 1 we are talking about and its almost March. USC's listless approach is very bothersome to me. If this is reflective of everything USC-MBA, how can one trust them to proactively compete in this tough job market?

Is anyone else annoyed by the lack of consistency among the Consortium schools? Some people got emails from USC, some didn't. Some people got logins from Yale, some didn't. Etc, etc. etc! (fist shake!)

Hopefully we'll have some answers tomorrow or Monday.

You are right. I called them and confirmed. Although USC continues to disappoint me: Ok, decisions are due in March - the very last amongst all the Consortium schools I applied to. Then I asked if they have an Admit Weekend of sorts and they do but students have to pay to get themselves to campus. The two schools I have an admit at either pay for flight and hotel or reimburse up to a certain amount. But not USC!! My point is not the dollar cost of travel and lodging but what I consider thier I-dont-care attitude towards attracting talent. Oh btw, I didnt get any of the aforementioned e-mails....

Is this some sort of West coast/LA recalcitrance or just USC?

if anything, your two schools who are paying for you to come are out of the norm, may i ask what schools they are, that would probably explain their willingness to pay. i have yet to hear of many people attending top 20/25 programs having their travel covered by the school for admit weekends. also, stern and ross (i can only speak to the schools i applied to) have notification dates in march, in fact, most consortium schools will release decisions over the next 2 weeks.

2012dreams,

Here are my admits and their BW rankings https://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/:
Kelley, # 15
Olin, # 28
Marshall is @ #25 so apart from their LA location, am yet to get a feel as to why they are a big deal.

I applied R1 (Nov 15) and got all my Consortium admits and dings in Jan. Yes, R2's are due any moment from now (am waiting for my Kellogg R2 post-interview decision). My point is that top schools take deliberate steps to recruit top talent (not that I claim to be one :-D , but I wanna be with classmates who are. I turned down a medical school admit last year in lieu of an MBA and applied only to BW top-30 programs so I am invested in rubbing minds with some of the best especially when I have multiple options). I am yet to see ANYTHING resembling an aggressive talent recruiting strategy from USC.

Am open to be persuaded though and welcome your insights...

USC was in my top 5 when I started the process of researching schools 2 years ago. After meeting with admissions officers and asking them questions, I received the same impression. I didn't even go through the effort of applying because of my negative experience. That's just my personal experience. I'm sure there will be some on here who will get accepted to USC, attend, and have a great experience. Just wasn't the best initial impression that I hoped for.

Based on the email with login info I got from Yale, they are realeasing decisions tomorrow!!! I'm soooo anxious!!! I thought Stern would also release decisions tomorrow, but since I saw that in the past weeks many people got already dinged or waitlisted, I'm confused about their approach to this process... I didn't get an interview with them, so my only hope is for waitlist... I never got a login info from Ross... Will they be releasing decisions for Consortium applicants also on March 15th??? I thought that's when we need to know about fellowships!
