I'm somewhat confused on the review process - Do adcoms treat these applications differently than the general pool? Do adcoms read the core consortium essays (in addition to the school core essays) as part of its review process? Should I go to the traditional application route? For example, my consortium mission essay is not that strong, albeit some experience. The mission of The Consortium is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to reduce the serious under representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both our member schools' enrollments and the ranks of management. What have you done in your business, academic or personal life to demonstrate commitment to this mission? Please provide specific example of your involvement, actions and results.

Hi all,

Did anyone interview at Ross R2 Consortium to fulfill the Consortium interview requirement and has yet to receive an interview invite? Do you think if you interview on campus, you fulfill both requirements?

A question to my fellow Consortium applicants who applied to Texas.........

Recieved an email today notifying me of a "change" in my application status (somewhat unexpected on a Saturday). I was then asked to click on the application link and use my UT EID and password to check it; and therein lies the rub. I was never emailed either of these things.

Anyone else have this problem? Of course, I can wait in the MBA netherworld until Monday when the IT department opens, but if anyone has a solution, your next cocktail is on me.

yeah i had that problem too. what i idid was just use the "i forgot my user info" or whatever they've got there for options. and eventually i got in.

i got that email a couple weeks ago. called mccombs to get my login info only to find out that consortium apps won't be updated on the online system.

i was told that consortium apps are being processed as paper apps. any updates, requests for add'l info or interviews will be communicated to us via email NOT their website. so if you log-in, it's highly unlikely that there will be any info.

I think that it's a clear signal for the end of the increased number of people applying to business school. It's similar to doctors and dentists investing in oil in the 1980's, which signaled the top. Not to mention Birdman, from Cash Money Records, entering into the oil business recently.

These events must signal an absolute peak! :-)

NOOOOO! lol. i'm kind of excited about next week BUT i'm also very scared. i don't know if i should prepare for a celebration or a heart attack. i'm waiting to hear back from 4 schools so next fri should be very interesting. it's so funny, i've spent the last 3 months totally consumed by the app process and wanting to hear back from schools, but now i'm somewhat afraid of my fate ... yeah right, i'm so over waiting! regardless of what happens on friday, i'm going to celebrate! whooody whoooo. lmao! :woohoo

I guess Consortium candidates will hear from Yale next week, or is it the week after? Yale candidates have been quiet here. Also, is it guaranteed that candidates will hear something? Does this include dings?

I really can't take this.

I want my Ross interview invite... I'd be beyond pissed if I didn't get that.
I want to do my interview on campus which is unlikely with only a week left. smh.

And I haven't received an invite from McCombs.

I'd rather you just dump me early instead of making me feel like I have a chance :lol:
