wow.. interview already? that's super fast! How come my R2 status still says "awaiting GMAT result"? Isn't GMAT based on self-reported scores until admission offer is extended?

What about the people who've got interview invite already? Does your status show "awaiting GMAT result"? I didn't ask GMAC to mail the result to Yale... thinking it's not necessary until I got an offer, or at least interview invite.

Ounce - go ahead and send them your scores. They'll get 'em in 5-7 business days. I was under the same impression, but I was advised that until official scores are received your file is consider incomplete/pending review.

Just got my interview invite! I signed up for next thursday, I am really excited. I submitted my application Jan 2. but my last recommender did not actually get the rec in until Jan 18 so I was kind of surprised to hear back so soon.

ETS takes upto three weeks to send scores. This is the timeline they themselves mention and my scores have taken that long to reach in the worst case. I must confess the period included the Christmas and the new year weekends.

Thanks Nink.

I live in the NOVA-MD-DC area. Having said that, will an alumni interview negatively affect my application? I don't want to be seen as uninterested; SOM is my first choice and it will be sad if everything went down the drain because Adcom may perceive that I am not interested because I didn't bother driving to new haven.

I am sure that Adcom will say that its okay to do an alumni interview, but I don't know if that is the truth. Certainly internationals are the exception because there are visa issues and the long flights etc. But for a US-based person, especially someone who is 5 hrs away, doing an off-campus interview may not bode well for his/her application.

Please advise.

Does anyone know if decisions for RD2 will be rolled out after interviews, or will we have to wait until the final decision day?

I'm asking because I interviewed today so that could be a long wait.

I had the same question. How soon did R1 ppl hear and do you hear back before April 2nd only if you're accepted?? I don't think I can handle waiting until then to get dinged
