Does anybody know, are the majority of admits called before Friday or emailed on Friday? Should I assume 'ding' if no phone call today?

MBa999, i'm not the most qualified person to answer this question, but being in the same boat as you, and in talking with non-adcom people who seem to know most about the SOM admissions process (current students, admits, etc), it seems as if there is no logic behind how and why they do the things they do. in going past to previous rounds/years, there doesn't seem (to me at least) to be any consistency in how they do things either.

i'm personally gonna follow the count of monte cristo's advice on this one, "wait and hope"

To those waitlisted in R1, the admissions office indicated that they wouldn't be taking any action on it until after the enrollment deadline (April 30 by my understanding). Congrats to those who got in, and best of luck to those of us on the waitlist.

How many people waitlisted have asked to be kept on the waitlist? Is there anyone waitlisted at Yale who has decided to attend elsewhere?

I have yet to find out about other schools and I'm very keen on Yale so I've placed myself on their waitlist.

Nink (and any other current students)- would you mind opining on Finance recruiting @ Yale? I'm worried about it, because the only Yale MBA that I know of at my firm (bulge bracket i-bank) is working in back office ops. That's the last place I ever want to be after graduating, so I'm just a little freaked out that it's even a possibility.

I'm incredibly impressed by SOM's finance program itself, but I'm left wondering:
- In a vacuum
- Without discussing exactly what I want to do when I graduate
If front office at a bulge bracket is my general goal, how are my chances?
