"you will not be asked to interview again." My friend did a Consortium self-initiated interview and was then interviewed again.

Really? Is that a Consortium thing or is this happening across the entire applicant pool? Should we have expected an interview invited from adcom even if we self-initiated an interview?
I must say that of all the schools I applied to Tuck is the most difficult to figure out where you stand with adcom!

I think if you did self-initiated then you're good to go... and yes Tuck is definitely a black box. But they definitely have a "type" that they're looking for... just gotta hope that you've conveyed that you're THAT type

Easygoing, outdoorsy, and someone who would enjoy living in Hanover for the next two years. Plus stuff like leading and IQ that every other school looks for.

Guess the action is gonna start in a week's time? The decision date for this round is 18th March. Going by previous posts, calls should trickle in from 14th or 15th (I guess)...nerves will start getting tested starting next Monday (14th) I guess :-D

I am already getting sleepless nights! Going by the fact that am in India, I keep waking up at night to ensure that I've not missed a call from any international number  Atleast somewhere around 18th, I'll start sleeping uninterrupted !!! 8-)

Hey as far as notifications go...I wouldn't get my hopes too wrapped around 14 or 15. Tuck is in Spring Break this weekend and all of next week as well. I anticipate we wont hear anything until the deadline when the school is back in session. I find that Tuck is the most easy going school to talk to -- versus MIT, UPenn, or HBS who literally I believe are devil spawn. I dont know where I stand at ANY school so if anyone has the key to that lock, please let me know how to get an assessment of where my app would stand. What I will say about Tuck is that when I call...I geninuely feel listened to and considered. And, maybe it will help me that I like to run and hang out outdoors :) I am going to visit Tuck this weekend so I guess I will get a vibe if I like it there. I'm nervous -- any Hanover thoughts?

Plohani, good point. Tuck's website states that the admissions decision is released 3/18, but the e-mail states 3/11. Did Admissions decide to move up the release date for all applicants?

Did you receive this email too ? I would think they would send it out to everyone who applied in the January round.

Holy crap I nearly **** a brick when I saw this email...

My guess is that everyone got this since it says decisions will be available Friday, and not your singular decision.

Does this mean no phone calls for acceptances... or phone calls starting very soon?

Won't everyone be gone? Have you never been to Hanover before?

As far as really small towns go, I think Hanover is pretty great. It has a sophisticated New England charm which I like. However, if we are being brutally honest here, I think the town lacks diversity (culturally/ethnically/socioeconomically) and exists in bubble. That being said, if you kind of want to forget about the world and its problems and just go to class and enjoy the outdoors for two years, it's definitely the right place for you!!

i also got the email from tuck just now saying that the results will be posted this friday the 11th. do you think that means that we will log in to see a rejection letter? i thought tuck was going to call all accepted candidates.

did everyone get this email? to the other people who received it, did you interview with tuck? self-initiated or admin initiated?

as for me, i just got this email and i had an interview that was initiated by tuck admissions, and it was with an alumni of the school. though i thought it went terribly.

thoughts anyone????!!!
