For those interviewing in the coming weeks, what are you planning to wear? Normally, a suit would would be a no-brainer - but the fact that there is a day of activities around the interview (including class visit and lunch with current students) might make the suit an awkward choice. Thoughts?

Everyone wore suits.

For waitlisted applicants - Although the instructions don't specifically state it, anyone have thoughts on whether additional recommendations are welcomed by the admissions committee?

I talked to a lot of waitlisted candidates from this forum (R1). I was under the impression that they all either sent in an update letter or additional rec letter, etc.

If you have found an additional recommender, who can talk about things you have done in the past few months, ask the college for permission to submit an additional recommendation. They will mostly say yes and ask the recommender to directly email it to the contact person.

Also, make sure you tell u are still interested. I am not sure if all waitlisted students get the same letter, but they have asked to confirm interest in the waitlist offer. The letter also said, waitlisted candidates are welcome to submit additional materials to strengthen candidacy.

Is there still a chance of receiving an interview invite if you still haven't gotten one yet?

You can get one all the way up to the decision date.

For those of you who got an interview invite, did your status change, or anything else indicate the review process started for your app, say, in the recent activities section?
Do you think it matters that gmat scores were delivered after the deadline?

The only thing I noticed that changed was when I received the invitation my 'recent activities' had an extra line with the date of the invitation, 'Interview Requested', and an opportunity to respond. Nothing before then that I noticed.

For those who are interviewing, do you think there's any advantage in getting in there early? There are a range of dates available in Jan, Feb and March, will they make decisions on a rolling basis? If so it seems better to go for the earliest date possible, particularly for scholarships etc.

If they announce all the decisions at the same time I think there should not be any difference right? But I also wonder, how they decide if you have the interview only 1 day before the deadline..

Does any one know if its bad to have the interview abroad?

I'm sure an interview abroad is not a bad thing. Nny interview is a good thing. They wouldn't waste their time on a candidate if they were not genuinely interested. Don't over think the process.

If a candidate is invited on or near the decision day the interview will take place after the decision date. However, that applicant will still be evaluated against the same applicant pool for that round. In other words, it's not really treated as a deferral and that person will hear about his/her decision within a week or two after the interview.

Just got an invite 10 minutes or so ago, so yes, I think they are going out, but at a much slower pace. Best of luck.

Like I said earlier, they just got a flood of Consortium applications that need to be reviewed by February. I'm sure they got a few hundred.

I wouldn't worry until closer to the decision date.
