You can just post your stats here and i will update the roll call. In the meantime, I need to find a better way to manage the roll call so others can update it as well.

Now that I've been dinged by CBS, I've passed on the responsibility of updating that spreadsheet, so I'd be happy to share the responsibility of updating with you. At least until I get dinged by Yale, that is ;)

As you may have seen in the CBS spreadsheet, we created a form that allowed anyone to add their info initially, but we couldn't come up with a good way to allow people to do the ongoing updates.

Done! Added your gmail address.

Sorry to hear about your CBS ding. Don't worry about it. If you look at the roll call pg for CBS 2 years ago (when I was applying with fellow Gclubbers), so many people got dinged by CBS and these individuals went onto some of the best schools in the country (Tuck, Kellogg, Booth, Wharton, Haas, Ross, etc)

Thanks for the encouragement... I feel much better about my NYU and Yale apps than my CBS app, so I'm still quite hopeful. Although I'd be even more hopeful if Yale would send me an interview invite!

Just took a look at the business week stats, according to BW, 29% of applicants were interviewed out of 2,790 last year, so aprox. 809 interiews, and the acceptance rate was 18% so aprox. 502 acceptances. So based on that, 502/809 = aprox 62% of interviewed applicants are eventually admitted based on the most recent BW data, it looks like Yale interviews noticeabley fewer students than some of the other top programs.

I guess that would explain the slowing down in the invite invitations that we've seen on this forum. I've just kind of assumed since they were @ 50% a couple weeks ago, they were finished sending them by now.

This is all overanalyzing, but I agree that it does kind of add up... could be that the first batch were the slam-dunks, and for the second batch they're spending more time separating the "maybe" and "no" piles.

Fingers crossed for being a "maybe"!!!!

At the end of the interview day there was a Q&A with admissions (similar to class visit day), where they explain what is next (relax, there is nothing more for you to do). Someone asked what the application process was from there (ie any chance we can hear early), and they explained the package gets two different readers and every Friday they discuss the pool. Either of the readers can initiate an interview invite or it can come after a committee discussion.

Shaseli, is there a transcript to the chat somewhere? I'd be intereted in reading it.

Specifically:
Linda Abraham: Let's turn to a couple of the applicants' questions. Weigh asks, "I read the blog that about half the invites for interviews have been given out. When will the other half be given out, and will it be in a batch?"

Bruce DelMonico: That is correct. Our e-newsletter went out earlier this week, and actually I've been remiss in my personal blogging, but I do plan to blog about that shortly. About half of our invitations have gone out by now, and the rest will go out between now and mid-December, which is when our decision notification deadline is. Obviously we want to get those out as soon as possible, and not wait till the end of the round. They won't go out in batch fashion; they will primarily go out individually or in smaller batches. I think that most of the activity will be happening between now and a little after Thanksgiving in the States, so that is early December. But we are trying to go through applications as quickly as possible so that we can get those invitations out as soon as we can.
