Wait listed at Texas. I had a pretty great interview with an admissions officer via Skype. We even exchanged a few emails afterwards. I never visited the campus though. I ranked them 5th on my constortium ranking, so I am not sure if that played a role. I have been happy with some amazing choices given to me so far but still think this process is a crapshoot. Thought I would be accepted at Texas, especially since I was already given fellowships at other similarly or higher ranked schools. I guess some people are right in that the process is unpredictable. To those who were accepted, congrats! The school seems like a great place to be for two years.I believe I will turn down the wait list. Wait list candidates rarely get fellowships right? Ima go ahead and agree with you there. I imagine rankings play a significant part (ranked them 4/4). I spent a good amount of time in Austin meeting with folks but oh well, I, too, just turned down the waitlist.
