Nessy, Congrats on the great news! I'm sure you will rock the interviews, a few of us on here have interviewed at both schools so feel free to reach out to us for feedback. Keep us posted on your progress and be sure to updated your profile stats!

Best of luck.

My Consortium school list has narrowed to 2 schools, Haas and Ross. Trying to get everything together for the 5th but I'm seriously lagging on the motivation front.

There's not much activity from R2 applicants? Anyone gearing up for the looming deadline?

Sometime in March.

On a related note, I'm disappointed about not hearing back from Tuck yet. They haven't even acknowledged that I've applied for admission :(

I'm in the same boat with Olin and it's really weird. I even reached out to see if they could verify they received my application, but I got a response that they'd "check" and no follow-up response. Not feeling the love!

Alright so I'm putting the finishing touches on my consortium application for round 2 and I think I'm just going to rank in the order of the schools that I want to go to. I'll never be able to know what the adcoms are thinking or the future of what schools i get into to so here is my updated list:

1. NYU
2. Yale
3. Cornell (I was having a real hard time with the order for this and Yale because Yale is slightly more of a reach)
4. UCLA

They're all kind of in that grey area between a reach and within my range lol. Wish me luck!

R2 here!

Here is how my list looks so far:
Tuck
Cornell
Yale
Indiana
UCLA
Virginia

I am so nervous about my boss still not having time to do my recommendation letter! He is the reason why I missed R1, and I am most def not going to wait for him this tmie around.

Love the updated blog posts... I'm inspired thinking about starting one myself (but it's so late in the game). I like Haas and Ross -- Don't know if you read my message in the chat the other day about Ross, but definitely a great choice esp for your career trajectory.

Good luck with R2. Keep us posted and let's get the Consortium Forum more active... I know you've got the street cred to take us to the next level.

Don't get too worked up. Tuck JUST wrapped up final decisions for Early Action Candidates. And I think only one person has reported receiving an interview invite from Tuck.

I as well have not gotten any (formal) acknowledgment they received my app, although I did interview in November. If it's really bugging you the adcoms there seem chill enough to let you know if it came through their system... send a courteous e-mail after the new year and then let things run their course.

Anyone else surprised to see the average GPA at some of the Consortium schools is extremely high?

Darden: 3.80
Tuck 3.71

I mean, I know we have some ultra intelligent folks on here but that seems a bit off to me... We're talking a full standard deviation outside of some of these schools mean. Maybe we do have some over-achievers out there though. :-D

LMAO @ street cred. Please! You're this thread's fearless leader (yeah I peeped how you usurped me on the introductory post), so that makes you the face of the Consortium thread on GMAT Club. Go drum up some posters so this place doesn't become a ghost town while we wait for R1 invites and get our R2 apps ready.

I missed your message in chat about Ross. I do think that it would be a great school for me. Right now I'm still trying to determine if I'd choose it over Kellogg. I'm thinking that whether or not I get the fellowship will be a huge determinant.

And thanks for reading my blog. Glad you liked it.

Nope, eagerly awaiting! Tomorrow is the official date but I guess from prior years it was common for people to get called the day ahead of time (sometimes by a current student). Good luck everyone!!

gablaze23, I'm in for R2. I'm writing all the essays and it is a pain. One of my recommendations will be provided by a client, so I'm still waiting on it. I sent him a reminder email today.

Ding after interview. :(. My Darden profile updated at 9 with the message.

That leaves 3 more consortium +Fuqua for me still to hear from. Did any consortium applicants get in this round? I hope so!

It kind of bothers me now that Darden did the instant interview invite for us consortium applicants if I didn't even get a waitlist. I'm pretty sure I did well in the interview so perhaps they should have spent more than 3 hours with our applications before inviting. Including the cost to take the day off work, that was a $1000 trip to get a ding. :(.

The worst part is that I will now spend my Christmas vacation applying to safety schools R2, rather than avoiding applying to any more schools. Any good thoughts for safety schools? I know Georgetown and ND like the GMAT scores, but its harder for me to justify going to school for a sub $100k starting salary post-MBA.
