are you guys both R1 applicants as well? I know Ross combines both Rounds into one pool for the consortium, but I know they may still be waiting on some materials for R2 folks.

I also got a Ross invite! Man, it really feels good to get that first interview!

Anybody know the acceptance rate for interviewees at Ross? Do they interview most applicants?

While I dont know the rate, I do know (from my visit last year) that the interivew at Ross is a big deal to them. I remember Soojin saying that of all the 'buckets' of information (essay, gmat ..etc), the interview is most important. Which totally makes sense cos everyone there is super smart/accomplished, yet very down-to-earth. They are trying to preserve that culture

Happy Thursday everyone!:)

Does anyone know how Tuck handles Consortium applications? I have yet to receive even an acknowledgement that they've received my application. I applied Round 2 but it seems like every other school has contacted me but them.

Haven't heard anything from them either. Don't think anyone has.

Ruthie,

Depending on what round you applied you should hear from them right before decision time (they are notorious for not responding until a week or two before that). Unless you have already interviewed with them, they may extend an invite to interview in Hanover.

Have you been to Hanover to initiate an interview yet?

I went to their diversity weekend so I interviewed then. I was hoping I'd receive some contact before the final decision :/

If it's really bothering you I'd send an e-mail to Karen Marks and just ask if they received confirmation - I doubt it will be perceived as being a nuisance.

Good luck with the rest of your interviews & applications.

I am rd1 and was notified that they wanted to interview me just a couple weeks ago and finally got an official invite today! I am considering withdrawing my application since I have them ranked 4/4. Is anyone aware how McCombs approaches scholarships? Are they released with decisions? Should I still interview? I want to make sure more that I am not wasting adcom resources that should be used for those who have McCombs ranked higher on their list.

This really depends on if there is anything McCombs could offer you that would make you choose them over your other schools. There's a chance that your higher ranked schools may not choose to award you a fellowship and McCombs would get that shot. They could also give you a free ride if they are unable to offer you the fellowship. So the question becomes if they made you an offer you can't refuse, would you refuse it? If you would (even in the absence of a better offer), then withdraw. But if there is a snowball's chance in hell that you would go there, then let it all play out. JMO.

How about UNC?? I received an email saying that everyone is responsible for scheduling their own interview. This system sucks IMHO because they haven't showed interest in anyone in particular and then applicants have to spend their resources and time to make it for an interview. Any opinions??

LOL I read it and I liked it, it resumed what most of us are thinking and trying to decide. The problem is turning options down when you have no admits yet from other schools...that's the tricky deal.
For example: I just received invites from Ross(ranked 3) and Johnson(ranked 2)...should I cancel my trip to UNC(ranked 5) or should I still go, spend the money and time, and let it play out. I'm swamped with work and this complicates the situation even further. The other point is that I haven't visited any school, I was waiting for interview invites.
