Thanks.

And to TheSenator as well. It's been a wild ride so far but to strike out was my fear at the beginning of it and now that it appears to be working out that way, it's a bit uncomfortable.

Good luck on your interview. If you need any information on Ann Arbor, let me know. I stay in town and know the town fairly well. For the few people who I've interacted with about Ross, let me know if you want to grab a beer in town. First round is on me!

Have other CGSM applicants from R1 heard back from Ross?

Still no love. This whole process over the last 6 months has been an epic fail for me. What did I do wrong?

I expect there will be another interview wave coming for CGSM Ross applicants. If you don't get scooped there, feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to review your application strategy.

Until then, keep the faith! :)

Haha, no one sends untimely emails like Yale!

IDK you two, Tuck has been pretty liberal in sending out the e-mails as well. I think I get two - three a month from them about application information webinars and conference calls, etc.

I'm just waiting for the e-mail that says, "Application Status".... queue the music....

I can hear your music now:
don-don-doooooooon!...(awkward pause)... Congrats Senator, you've been except with a 2 Billion dollar scholarship.. Oh pretty please bring your massive cerebral superiority to our institution!

Only music I hear with all these b.s. Emails is a "rim shot". (the drum noise u hear after a bad joke)... And this continued bad joke is getting old fast.

I wish I could make that the default ringtone for all Yale emails on my phone. Then I wouldn't have gotten so excited about today's Yale update :D

Did you get the email today too? About the information and the decision process yada yada yada?

They sent something similar too yesterday!!! BTW---there are reports here that Yale sends interview invites in the evening. Better watch out for that one too.

Hey Fellow consortium applicants!

I received an interview invite for the Ross Consortium event on presidents day weekend! Are any New Yorkers heading out to Ross that weekend? Anyone want to split a hotel a room to mitigate costs for the two day event? I will be happy to make the arrangements. PM if you are interested. Would like to meet some fellow consortium applicants!

i posted this on the yale thread, but figured i'd post it here too:

when i received my yale invite, it said this:

"To arrange your appointment, please click here to view our online scheduler. If you applied to Yale SOM through the Consortium for Study in Graduate Management, please schedule your admissions interview prior to Friday, February 10. If you schedule after this date, you may delay your admissions decision."

i think it's safe to say that they're trying to knock out consortium folks by mid february so they can push decisions out by february 24th in regards to the consortium fellowship.

i also think it safe to assume that even if you don't receive an invite before this date, it doesn't necessarily mean you won't get an admit. i think these are dates with regards to consortium , but not overall admissions.

but that's my take on the whole scenario. obviously the only people who REALLY know are the admissions folks

If the school that was 3rd on my list is now my last choice, what rectification process could I implement? Just pull my app there and let every other school scoot up? It's to the point where I don't even have to go to that school.

Can you explain in detail? I'm kind of understanding but not really.

Maybe he means that he wants withdraw his individual school app from 3 so they won't block 4-6 from giving him a fellowship? If that's the case, and he has no intention of going to 3 even on a full ride, then I agree that withdrawing is a smart choice.

Method you're right.... Basically I'm really feeling Emory (factor I friends and family in ATL really help) and I have it 5th... I have McCombs ranked 3rd and I really ain't gotta go there. Seemed must beneficial 3 weeks ago, but you live and learn I guess. So I'd rather move Texas to 5th so Emory can move up or can I only pull Texas and move it out?

You'll have to withdraw. Also, if Emory is now your number one, I would let them know what's up. Even if they would now be at position number 4 you're chances at getting a fellowship from them will be slim just by virtue of the fact they are lowish on your ranking. However if you alert them early they may be able to take it into consideration and offer other funds.

I'm kind of having a similar issue myself with rankings, but I'm not going to pull anymore apps at this point. I withdrew from Emory, but they were in my number six position anyways.

It better be!!! I hope Yale sends out more interview invites this week.

Also, most R2 applicants around here have not heard from Darden and Anderson. Hope they hurry!
