Attention: Anyone who submitted your consortium application on 12/22/2011.
So get this, my application was just released to the schools on 1/19/2012. I submitted it on 12/22/2011. Denise (the consortium application processor) called me and explained that for some reason on 12/22/2011, anybody that submitted their application was "lost in the system"!! Can you believe that?!?! I hope this doesn't hurt the chances of me or anybody else who submitted it on that day getting admitted.

Wow. This is unacceptable. I hope the Consortium is bending over backwards to get you back on par timing with the rest of the round.

I'm sorry this happened to you, trey. I agree with method, it's totally unacceptable. Do you have any idea if this impacts your chances with the schools you've applied to? I sure hope not.
I'm pulling for the Giants just so Peyton will have to retire with less rings than Eli.

LOL, you ain't right. I actually like Peyton a lot. He was hilarious when he hosted SNL in 2007. That Peyton Manning United Way commercial is a classic.

Totally unacceptable trey. Are you going to contact schools directly to let them know what happened or did they say they were taking care of the missteps?

I totally agree. Thanks everyone for all of the feedback and support! I recieved an email the day after Denise called, confirming that my app was sent to the schools but other than that I don't know if they have taken any additional steps to make it right. I was debating on asking them to explain to the schools why my application took so long to get submitted but I don't want to have any bad blood with them when it comes time to grant fellowships. I was also considering sending emails to the individual schools but it would be hard to explain the situation without throwing the CGSM under the bus. I think my best bet will be to just keep my fingers crossed that everything will work out and that it won't have any affect on my admission decisions.

I know you don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I do think that you are 100% justified in politely asking the Consortium to send a note to the schools that your application was delayed due to an error in their system. It's just the professional thing to do on their part. I mean interviews have already started going out and your app wasn't even in their hands to be evaluated. That's a HUGE error on their part and ethics would dictate that they acknowledge their mistake.

Hey Trey, did you apply to Goizueta through the consortium? How long after you applied did they make a decision?

Hey Jack, I applied to Goizueta outside of the consortium in R1. I submitted my application at the end of September, interviewed in October and recieved a decision on December 14th.
Had my Ross interview yesterday,...i'm an R2 applicant. I thought it went ok,...was a bit nervous,..but i think i showed knowledge of the program and explained why i needed an MBA pretty well,..and I think i did a good job of tying it in with Why Ross.
It lasted about 1 hour.....bout 40 mins for the interview and 20-25 mins just chatting about my interviewer's experiences at Ross.

Thanks....I really hope we don't have to be flawless on these interviews,...cause i was far from it. I'm not sure if I neccesarily shined but i definitely didn't embarass myself.

You seem to be taking this very calmly. I think I'd have booked a red-eye to St Louis and would be knocking down some Consortium doors right now. I'm sure they'll make sure it all works out though. At least you diversified your risk by applying to some programs outside of the Consortium, unlike me. haha

Good thing they caught the error. I personally wouldn't stress over it. I'm sure they made it clear to the schools what happened, and the schools have so many applications to review anyway that I don't think it makes a difference on their end that some apps are a bit behind.
It's a good thing no schools release decisions "early". I guess this lets them buffer in issues like this.

Trey, did you initiate contact with the Consortium to find out what happened to your application or did Denise initiate contact with you? Did she say if this happened only to 12/22 applicants?
