If you were offered scholarship money, did Tuck notify you about that when admitting you, or at a later time?

Same phone call.

Thanks RHB!

Tuck understands the importance of community and the school does a great job at supporting students interested in nonprofit. Don't worry about nonprofit as a goal for your essays.

hi,

i'm preparing to submit my app either in EA or Nov round depending on my recos' availability and i would greatly appreciate if anyone can answer some of my queries:

1. for international applicants, is it acceptable not make the deadline for the applicant-initiated interviews?

2. does anyone know the statistics for acceptances in the EA round compared to Nov and Jan rounds?

i'm very keen on Tuck becoz I believe that the student body is skewed towards the older folks (aged >30), is this the case?

many thanks!

As per my interaction with one of the student reps from Tuck the majority of the current class is between 26 and 30 but there are around 20% over the age of 30. I myself am 32 and hence I asked them this specific question about age.

Hope that helps.

1. Can't speak to that since I'm not an international student. However, what's the alternative? Are you saying you are not going to make it all. Once the deadline is passed then an interview request can be sent.

2. EA has the highest acceptance rate but I'm not sure on the exact figures

3. The average age is about 28, almost on par with most of the other schools. As with any school, Tuck wants older applicants to clearly articulate the need for an MBA. Well, that's for everyone at any school I guess.

thanks nikhilsrl and Tuck2013 for your replies.

i hope that my failure to initiate an interview before the deadline will not adversely affect my application. if i were to be invited to an interview, i would definitely make it happen.

indeed, for older applicants it makes the applications more challenging becoz goals must be more realistic. given the current dismal job market in US, it is harder for international, older applicants to present the goals as realistic.

As far as I understand, Tuck encourages international applicants to visit the campus for interview etc but they also understand that its not possible for everyone to do so, specially International applicants. So in my my opinion it should not be that big a deal (may be a small disadvantage).
Also once someone is invited for an interview, I believe Tuck gives them an option of on campus and off campus interviews. so then it shud not matter if u come on capmus or choose to attend it in yr country (assuming its scheduled there).

Anyway, this is just my opinion, so take it for what its worth .....

Thanks for the info Cano.

I ended up registering for Sept 29 as there was no class, student lunch, campus visit, Q&A etc for the early oct interviews. I figured if am going there, would rather spend more time understanding the campus life etc.

Does any know of a good hotel nearby ? I know there are 2 right on campus but they are somewhat expensive. Anyone knows about Chieftain Inn ? how far is it from campus ? etc

A Google Earth path shows 2.7 miles. I guess all the other info you can get it from sites such as kayak, hotwire, etc.
