Future Tuckies and Lovers of Tuck,

I need your help. Just this past weekend I was nominated for 'Best of Blogging' for the 2011-2012 MBA season by Clear Admit. I'm humbled by the nomination. Many of you have been following my blog, which I'm super appreciative of and I would love to have your vote for this year's pre-MBA blogger of the year! If you would be so kind and support a (likely) T'14 I'd be honored. You can cast your vote here for The Senator.

Thank you all, and I hope to meet admits as ASW this weekend!

Gladly!

Future Tuckies who had a semi-heart attack at their financial aid package today.

I clarified with Tuck Financial Aid office:
The Expected Family Contribution, EFC, is not a number that a student is expected to come to school with and pay out of their own pocket. When it comes to applying for financial aid, you can apply for aid up to the full cost of attendance.

Also,..anybody receive the Technology info in the mail yet? I remember reading that we should get it early april.

It's going to be the Monday (4/24) after ASW. I believe that is when pre-term program applications will be opened as well

Hi all , I applied in April round, and I didn't receive any invitation to do the interview. Does that mean i will not get accepted ?

One more question , is it possible to get admitted without doing the interview ?

Thanks

Hi Other - while none of us have a direct view into the mind of the adcomm, the experiences of those on the forum in this and previous years shows that Tuck is very very very serious about their interviews. I believe all (or very VERY nearly all) admits interview (either in person or via skype). Tuck prefers that applicants self-initiate interviews to demonstrate their interest and commitment to the program. Certainly there are people who do not self-initiate and are later invited to interview (and potentially admitted), but this is a smaller number.

Unfortunately, Tuck doesn't release information about when they finish inviting applicants, so it is hard to judge your status right now.
Where are you based? If you are in the US and Tuck is your top choice, it would be in your best interest to arrange an interview on campus in Hanover.

Have any of the April applicants heard back on decisions yet? I know May 11 is the stated deadline but I would assume they start telling people before then

I believe only a certain number of applicants receive feedback. You can try and reach out to friends who have gone through the process or try to connect with current Tuck students.

Re: Tuck 2012 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
I have a VERY off topic question... Do you think I Can bring my dog to tour the campus? (pictured <-------- there)
I figure everyone here has visited tuck soo... opinions?

<--- This pup, my Fiancee and I are taking a long weekend trip to the white mountains in a month, and hoping to swing by Tuck on our way home. I dont plan on doing any type of formal tour, just a first visited to Hanover to get a feel for the town and campus. I dont get up to NH often, and figured I should take advantage of the situation. I'll be back in the fall to do the whole class visit / interview process.

So, would there be any problem at all just walking around campus, and maybe peeking in some buildings? Tuck is by far my number one choice on paper, I dont want to wait 4-5 more months to see it in person!
