How crucial is it to visit Tuck?

Do I need to visit?

Tuck is a huge school on fit. They prefer US based candidates to venture out to Hanover for the applicant initiated interview. I would say visiting is huge. If you can only visit after you submit, I think that would be fine. I would just make sure you register for a tour and class visit.

I am assuming you have not interviewed yet. I would just shoot a note to admissions, telling them why you could not visit prior to the deadline, but will be visiting on X date. If you could arrange your interview then that would be great. Not sure how helpful this will be, but from all the research I have done Tuck wants to make sure you know what you are getting into. Hanover is not the easiest place in the world to get to, so they want to see people make the effort to get to know the school.

I got a mail from Tuck Admissions today asking...my heart totally skipped a beat!! Turns out they just wanted event feedback!! Any1 else got that mail?

yes, some Nov-round applicants have received interview invites from Tuck. As per last year's thread, interview invites were reported before EA decision date, but none afterwards.

Keep up hope, I am doing the same. Tuck was one school that I thoroughly researched and thoroughly loved. Tuck does not state the timeline over which it releases invites, but looking at earlier threads, for Nov. round invites were sent before Christmas break in Dec.

Keep up hope, I am doing the same. Tuck was one school that I thoroughly researched and thoroughly loved. Tuck does not state the timeline over which it releases invites, but looking at earlier threads, for Nov. round invites were sent before Christmas break in Dec.

I see very few applicants being invited for R1 (source:first page of this thread) and hence I don't think that majority of the invitations for R1 are out.

Though last year could be used as a rough guideline, the lull on this forum indicates that lot many R1 applicants should get invitations in the next few days.

Do you mean Early Action or November when you say "Round 1"? If it's the EA round, then I think most of those invites are done and they're deciding on who to admit right now. My guess is that they haven't taken more than a cursory glance at November round...although I could be wrong. If they were underwhelmed by the EA cohort, they may have taken a solid look at the November round applicants to gauge what they've got in that group.

I think the current posts here are about interview invites to Nov. applicants, since last year Tuck sent invites to Nov applicants around this time (8th Dec).

Well, we were discussing about the November round.
I personally believe that EA results are definitely impacted by the 'quality' of applications in the next round.
And I mean it should work either ways.

There are no ding emails at this stage. But I got an interview invite a few hours back, so I guess they are in the process of sending interview invites for Nov round. Best of luck. Cheers :)
