I found that doing the applications in IE for HBS and Stanford eliminated a whole slew of formatting issues, so I'd recommend just switching over.

I think it does actually work in Firefox. However, if you RE-ENTER the employment section, the fields erase. I'll switch to IE.

Thanks!

IE is the way to go to avoid yourself additional formatting headaches. Good luck!

For perspective, last year around there were 55 pages around this time. I have noticed a 10-page drop across a whole bunch of schools. A drop in the number of applications perhaps?

Let's hope!

I was up until 2:30, got up at 6:00 like usual for work. It's a great feeling, though, to have it submitted!

And now we play, "The Waiting Game."

Best of luck to everyone!

I submitted early this morning as well. I already feel anxious about interview invite releases.

Hi guys! Good luck to us all who are in R2!

I got a few questions that are probably the weirdest/silliest ever, but you know after 24 hours of application work... sigh... Hope you guys can somehow ease my mind:

I remember that after I Signed the community value page, Signed the Integrity page, and paid by my Credit card, when I go ahead to Submit my application, I think they asked us to SIGN one final time right? I did sign that, but now I have the feeling that i put the date down wrongly. Instead of 01/10/2012 I think I might have put 01/10/2011

Now

1. Do you guys remember anything about this? Did we actually have to type in the date or the date was there and all we have to do was to put out name down? Im in such a blur

2. If we did have to put down the date and I put the wrong date in, will my application somehow got lost? OMG I know this is such a crazy question but U guys would understand, our minds are at the state of getting obsessed with little things like this, right? Im worried that bcoz I put down 2011, it will not get into this year pile or something :(

3. Will HBS send us another email to confirm that our application is completed (except from the automatic one we got right after submission)

4. Will our status change from Submitted to Completed or Under Review or something in the next few days?

Thanks so much for your patience and for answering :)

Hi Jessica - I applied in R1 so maybe can add some insight. On #3, I received the application submission note but nothing saying it was complete. I believe if you get an interview invite, your status changes to "under review". You should receive a confirmation every time someone uploaded a recommendation though.

I just found out a mistake in one of my essays. Instead of writing "I overcame XYZ", I wrote "I overcome XYZ". Makes me sound like so stupid.

Lol, this is why I'm not going to read my essays now that they're submitted. I reviewed them several times but I'm sure there's an error or two in there.

Missed the deadline by 8 minutes as I had a section that didn't save I had to re-do. What are my chances of being included in R2?

Straight from the director's blog:

"The deadline will be NOON, Boston time.
Truth is, we're not going to actually turn the system off at 12:01pm, so please don't panic if the servers are jammed and you're having trouble submitting. Obviously, you'll feel less stressed if you don't wait until the last minute, but I'm a realist."

Can anyone else remember when you sign the final time (the pledge), did we have to enter the date or the date was there? Thanks...

I believe the date was already filled in when I got to that page.

Even if you put in the wrong date accidentally, I am sure that it would not somehow put your application in an old "pile" of applications in the system and get lost. Does your status show as "submitted" and have the date and time you submitted it?
