Can you clarify what "quite a few slots to chose from" is? 10? 50? 200?

Also, what region were you signing up in?

Was everyone aware that all of these spots would open up later on (i.e. that the slots listed in the big wave of invites the first few days weren't the only ones?)

I would've just waited instead of scrambling to book a flight based on the few slots available last Monday.

Also, can I get on the roll call too?

Actually, that might really help clear things up. Can you say how many "total slots" are listed for Boston?

I would like to know if more Boston spots were added from a few days ago, or if more are showing as open than a few days ago...

Can anyone post the statistics like shadowjc did a few days ago?

I got an invite today around 2pm EST for a "telephone interview", but you could still sign up for an in-person interview if there was space (which I did).

I am very grateful to have received the invite- I thought it was all over, and I planning to spend this w/e looking at additional programs.

My info:
Program: MBA Full-time
Area of interest in MBA: general mgmt / entrepreneurship
GMAT: 730
GPA: 3.7, engineering, Top 5 univ.
Work experience: 2 yrs consulting, 2 yrs private equity, 9 months corporate strategy (in Europe)
Nationality: USA (under-rep. minority)
Age: 27
Gender: female
Extra-curriculars/community: non-profit board, biz. plan competition, women's affinity group, "the standard" activity/leadership during undergrad

sorry for the delay in updating this, as i wasnt home since yesterday. looks like they added about 80 spots to the boston area, and almost all of them have gotten filled up. mixed in with those 80 were a couple of phone interview slots. the 3 that are left in boston are of the phone interview type. of course, we dont know if they will add 80 more spots, so unless they say they're done, we can only wait and see

Well that sounds like about 840 total slots/interviews extended.

Unless HBS says they are interviewing more applicants this year, I think the door is virtually closed.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum and I just wanted to say thanks to those of you have have been providing info on the interview spots. I haven't heard from HBS, so I am assuming I have been dinged. Unfortunately, one of my recommenders was a week and a half late with his submission, I think that hurt my app irreparably. Congrats to those of you who got interviews, best of luck!

My info:
Program: MBA Full-time
Area of interest in MBA: general mgmt / entrepreneurship
GMAT: 710
GPA: 3.55, B.Sc Petroleum Engineering
Work experience: 5 years in upstream oil and gas production and development. (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, and Alaska)
Nationality: Canadian
Age: 27 (28 at Mat.)
Gender: Male
Extra-curriculars/community: non-profit charter school fund-raising board, avid (formerly competitive) downhill skier and mountain biking.

Applying to: HBS, Stanford, MIT, Haas

Cheers and good luck to everyone this year!

if he was half a week late with his submission, that doesnt mean that you were dinged for R1. that most likely means that you were put in the pool for R2. i would send an email to admissions@hbs and confirm that this is what happened

Hey guys, I too have been dinged...

Male 28, running a profitable 50-person startup for last three years
2 years at McKinsey
3.95 GPA at top-20 business
750 GMAT
Grew up in Latin America

Bring on the R2 apps!

PS - In retrospect, I think having too many people read my essays hurt -- they got genericized. I think I would have been better off leaving them with all the rough edges - at least they would have been more memorable.

That's a hell of a profile and you should be proud of it. You'll clearly get into a Top 10 school. Best of luck.
