i was browsing the BW forums and someone mentioned that previously closed slots had been opened up, so i decided to take a quick look at the interview page.i found a handful (not a huge #) of slots have added to several hub cities, like boston (9 new slots) and chicago (2 new slots). these were not, however, slots that had been previously closed, but rather new ones. this could be the "trickling few" interviews that we expected to see. it'd be interesting to see if any gmatclub members get an invite this week or next.

OK Guys, Some difference between number of slots between monday and thursday....

Monday Stats:

for boston, there are 454 slots, and 85 open

Chicago: 32 total slots, 10 open

Menlo park/san fran CA: 75 total slots, 42 open

LA: 12 total, 2 open

Asia: 70 total, 6 open

europe: 91 total, 39 open

NYC: 24 total, 0 open
Total Slots: 758

Wednesday Stats:

Total Slots: 729...

So, Number of total slots has slightly decreased. Although Shadowjc has observed slots being added at some places. (Most of the slots removed are from Boston)

The Post in question posted below (as of 22nd Oct). I've given up second guessing. I don't know what's happening!

Greetings!

We continue to send out interview invitations to Round 1 applicants. As I said before, I don't know how many are still to go, but it is a significant number. The timing of when you receive an interview invitation is no reflection on the "strength" of your candidacy.

We do not send out interview invitations on Saturday and Sunday!

A note about the waitlist - remember, this year we are making Round 1 decisions before we see Round 2 applications. On December 15, I expect there will be a significant number - maybe 100 or so - of invitations to join the waitlist to candidates who have NOT been interviewed. As we review Round 2 applications, we may be inviting some of these candidates to interview in the Round 2 interview timeline.

I'll do another update next week.

Me too. I just made myself a little application that refreshes e-mail, this forum, business week forum, HBS blog and twitter automatically every 10 minutes, so my finger can take a break :lol:
